Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by Scjessey (talk)

Accounts created within days of each other and used to insist at Talk:Barack Obama that non-neutral or largely irrelevant information be adding to Barack Obama, or taking part in strange meta discussions. Please compare these diffs: diff1, diff2, diff3, diff4, diff5, diff6. Kordon/Gordon is pretty obvious, but I am not sure about MichelleBM and Hawaii51 because of the different approach. -- Scjessey (talk) 16:00, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk, patrolling admin and checkuser comments

I'm too busy at the moment to pursue this further, but I went ahead and blocked Kordon Bleu and Gordon Bleu as obvious socks of one another who are only here to disrupt and POV push on issues surrounding Barack Obama. MichelleBM and Hawaii51 may or may not be problematic but that would need some additional investigation and/or a checkuser.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 22:45, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And just to add to the reasoning behind the blocks since it's not in the evidence above, note that "Gordon" created the article Aba samson obama (which was speedy deleted as it should have been) and then offered this on the Barack Obama talk page. That coming on the heels of this and an ensuing discussion on the talk page. Obviously POV-pushing SPA accounts quite related to one another and as such I've indef blocked them both. --Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 23:01, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Clerk note: Moved casename to true master account thus far. Synergy 18:19, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure why you did that and you might want to undo it. I don't know that it matters all that much what the "true master account" is between these two, but the Kordon Bleu account was created first, and as you can see from their user pages, when I blocked these two accounts I listed Kordon as the sockmaster and Gordon as that account's sock - i.e. this should still be a case about Kordon Bleu. But in the end who cares I guess (and maybe it was just a confusion about the name) as they were created within days of one another and have the same level of contributions. Technically though I don't think the case name should have been changed --Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 19:31, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
We list cases by master account (which is chosen, usually, by either CU, or just the first account created). Gordon Bleu was the first account created at 14:38, April 4, 2009 and the Kordon Bleu account was created 18:16, April 6, 2009. The case name will stay as is unless another account (an account older than the four above, mind you) is added to the list as suspected, and is either confirmed or blocked as a sock. Best. Ah ha, I stand corrected. I did not bother to check the account creation dates since Kordon edited days before Gordon, thanks for the clarification. --Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 21:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No problem at all. Its just one of the many things us clerk have to do. :) Synergy 03:46, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Conclusions
  •  Clerk note: Concurring that all of these accounts are socks based on timing and pattern. Blocking all. MBisanz talk 00:48, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
