  • Editing behavior is exactly the same – removal of list_of_episodes infobox parameter as per MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE, and removing hidden "increment" notes from infoboxes of finished TV series, both with no edit summaries.   • The account Jackson Lumby Rocks! appeard a few hours after Jackson Is 2021 and has proceeded to make similar edits on the same pages. Examples (Jackson Is 2021 diff | Jackson Lumby Rocks! diff | page): "1|2|P", "1|2|P", "1|2|P", "1|2|P", "1|2|P". There are more pages where edit paterns between these two accounts have similar disruptive edits, however I can't comment on the connection between these accounts and User:GoatMans.   • @Oshwah: The main editing pattern here is either removing the list_episodes parameter from the Infobox in accordance with MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE, or in earlier edits (pre-SPI case) doing the opposite and adding that parameter in contravention of MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE. In any case, here is an edit from Jackson Is 2021: [6], here is an edit from GoatMans: [7] at the same article – it's the exact same edit. Also, I agree with Terasail that Jackson_Lumby_Rocks! is certainly another sock of this same sock farm. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 19:53, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Oshwah: The socking is obvious, but even putting that aside, their latest attack on my talk page which I reverted is instant grounds for an indefinite block. This person has a few different habits, one of which is adding very poorly composed alt text to images in music articles.[8][9][10][11]

This case was discussed a month ago at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1058#New users resuming multi-IP disruption after rangeblock expiration. A rangeblock on the Manteca, California, IP range Special:Contributions/67.218.119.0/21 was requested but not acted upon. Later, the Manteca range Special:Contributions/2601:201:280:1020:0:0:0:0/64 was blocked by checkuser Oshwah, because of this person's disruptive editing in television articles. I still think we need to block the /21, and it appears that GoatMans himself agrees, writing "Can you please ask an administrator to block me from editing this wiki, Binksternet?"[12] Binksternet (talk) 20:51, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

as if the username isn't enough to be suspect, their obsession with removing episode# from infoboxes is pretty telling. As an example, see this edit by RTTW and this to the same article by Jackson Lumby Rocks! and this continues with a ton of other socks and their only purpose here is to remove this from infoboxes. The first-ever edit by Amazing Boy of Life was talking to Yeepsi about past removals of alt text at a bunch of album articles. GoatMans had been adding poorly composed alt text while using IPs from Manteca, California. In his talk page request of Yeepsi, he refers to this edit by IP and this reversion by me.

Another pattern of GoatMans was to remove the internal link to episodes in television show infoboxes.[13] Here's a case in which a GoatMans sockpuppet removes the episodes link, followed by Amazing Boy of Life doing the same thing.[14][15] And another case of two socks followed by Amazing Boy of Life.[16][17][18] Amazing Boy of Life has been removing lots of these. (Note that this behavior is helpful and correct according to WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE deprecating internal links pointing to article sections. That's the job of the table of contents.) Super-freekin' obvious case, no need for checkuser. IP from Manteca like last time,[19] removing "#Episodes" from TV shows like last time,[20] and adding poorly worded/unhelpful alt text to album articles like last time.[21] Even more explicit is the statement on my talk page shifting from self-admission to someone from Manteca to sockpuppet of GoatMans.[22][23] Binksternet (talk) 21:47, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
