  • All  Confirmed. As this edit is using a sockpuppet to harass another user based on their physical appearance, I'm blocking indefinitely even though this is the first time we've discovered it.  Blocked and tagged. Closing TonyBallioni (talk) 22:10, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Empire AS is a huge Atif Aslam fan, having made many substantive edits to that article over the last year or so.
  • Gold Star 786, a self-avowed top fan of Aslam's (per user page), shows up with a new account yesterday, with a primary goal of kicking off some updates to some Atif Aslam articles.
  • There are other weird sock-y behaviours Gold Star does, like creating sub-pages, voting on AFDs, and making minor, relatively pointless changes, like futzing with template fixes[1][2], etc.
  • However, more damning: Look at this version of Empire's user page, including age and hobbies and compare to this version of Gold Star 786's user page.
  • Then, look at User:Gold Star 786/common.js (odd enough that a 1 day old account would have a fleshed-out common.js file) and compare it to the most recent deleted version of User:Empire AS/common.js.   • This case is being reviewed by Blablubbs as part of the clerk training process. Please allow him to process the entire case without interference, and pose any questions or concerns either on his talk page or on this page if more appropriate.
     Clerk endorsed – I'm basically convinced this is the same person based on the filing; the user page and common.js (Izno was kind enough to restore it) are especially damning. There are some other similarities too, but I'll keep those in my pocket for now. I think there's enough to block on behaviour, but given that there were some sleepers the first time around, I think it's worth a look by CU to check if there are any others accounts.   • I reran this check from a different angle, and I can say that Gold Star 786 is all but  Confirmed to be Empire AS. I've reblocked the account as a CU block. Mz7 (talk) 06:56, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
