Sinaimince continued editing Scot Mendelson immediately after Elmakkan was CU-blocked. [1] [2] Rentier (talk) 15:19, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Similar username and identical interests to the previous sock Rana Zubair Punjabi: compare the broad similarities between for example [3] and [4]. – Uanfala (talk) 12:35, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, while Rana Zubair Punjabi and Ranazubair1337 are clearly the same person, I'm not seeing any behavioural similarity in Elmakkan's three visible edits. Elmakkan was originally CU-blocked because of using multiple accounts to add copyvios (so presumably their page creations could have been deleted), and the connection between Elmakkan and Rana Zubair Punjabi was later made by Yunshui, apparently based on CU evidence again. – Uanfala (talk) 12:42, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the further info, Yunshui. Obviously I have nothing to say on the CU evidence (other than that I assume it's as strong as it gets), but as far as I'm able to see from the really scant visible edits made by Elmakkan's other socks, there's no behavioural connection. The command of English seems rather different: compare [5] (the only bit of prose contributed by the socks that I was able to find) with a typical passage by Rana Zubair [6]. – Uanfala (talk) 22:02, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, a blast from the past... Rana Zubair Punjabi was a confirmed CU match George Theodore77, whose edits made it plain that they were fulfilling an Upwork gig that was taken by an account known to be operated by Elmakkan, hence the connection to this SPI. Yunshui  21:37, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • This obvious case has been open for more than a month, and nobody has done anything. I'm going to close it with no action. Anyone who wants to re-open it can do so, and I won't complain. Although this clean start clearly violates policy, the account doesn't seem to actually be doing anything disruptive, and I don't see any behavioral connection to Elmakkan. Of course, if Ranazubair1337 does anything that looks like undisclosed paid editing, the account should be insta-blocked. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 11:30, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
