Our friend, CanadianHistorian, has returned to Wikipedia. CanadianHistorian seems to be in some way associated with the Rock Machine, which is why this banned editor is so obsessive about the Rock Machine's article. Between November 2021-April 2022, CanadianHistorian made 768 edits to the Rock Machine article, which is more than other editor combined. CanadianHistorian's sock puppets Mc1813 made 159 edits and another sock puppet LinkRot made 44 edits to the same article between October 2022-September 2023. Both ROCK GOTTI1813 and Straightouttartp have only edited the Rock Machine's article. In this edit, RockGotti1813 sounds very like someone who is a member of the Rock Machine [1]. One of CanadianHistorian's prior sock puppets was Mc1813 while RockGotti1813 has the name 1813 included in their user name. 1813 is a slang term for the Rock Machine. Mc1813 obviously stands for Motorcycle Club 1813, which is entirely consistent with someone who is a member of the Rock Machine, and Rock Gotti1813 is a clearly a reference to the Rock Machine and to organized crime. Perhaps this is not the place to best discuss this, but it seem very clearly CanadianHistorian is a member of the Rock Machine or at least associated with the Rock Machine. This explains why this editor appeared to be losing his mind over the issue about the article saying that the Rock Machine lost the Quebec Biker War as one can see from reading the talk page of CanadianHistorian, see here [2]. Besides for being a massive conflict of interest problem, this is why this person is never going to cease their sock puppetry. This person wants the Rock Machine's article to say certain things that reflect their viewpoint and he is never going to stop.
RockGotti1813 admits to being a member of the Rock Machine right here along with being their official "historian", [3]. Just for that alone, this editor should be blocked for conflict of interest violations. The claim of RockGotti1813 to being the "historian" of the Rock Machine does remind one very much of CanadianHistorian. But notice in this post on their talk page, RockGotti1813 rambles quite a bit about editors with "personal issues" who supposedly tell lies about the Rock Machine. Compare that statement with this edit summary by an IP that is CanadianHistorian, here [4]. This IP admits to being CanadianHistorian here [5]. It is precisely the same argument. Editors with "personal issues" are supposedly out to tell lies about the Rock Machine. CanadianHistorian has very much a battleground mentality as anyone familiar with his editing history can arrest to (see here for an example [6]), and RockGotti1813 has the same battleground mentality as anyone who reads the above post will notice.
This is a bit technical, but one of CanadianHistorian's obsessions is the promoting claim that the current biker gang that calls its self the Rock Machine based in Winnipeg is a continuation of the old Rock Machine biker gang based in Montreal despite the numerous RS say otherwise. Here is RockGotti1813 making that claim [7] and [8]. CanadianHistorian is not capable of writing coherent sentences or coherent paragraphs, and that is precisely the same writing style as RockGotti1813. Compare those paragraphs by GottiRock1813 with these paragraphs by CanadianHistorian, namely here [9] and [10]. And compare this paragraph by one of CanadianHistorian's other sock puppets, here [11]. Compare these edits by RockGotti1813 [12] and [13] with these edits by CanadianHistorian [14], [15], and [16]. It might be useful to compare some of RockGottti's edit summaries such as this one [17] with some of CanadianHistorian's edit summaries such as this [18]. RockGotti tends to capitalize words that should not capitalized in sentences such as International rather than international such as here [[19] ] and as did CanadianHistorian see here [20] who writes Full Patch instead of full patch. It all seems very like the same person.
I am not sure about Straightouttartp, but this editor only edits the Rock Machine article, so it might also be a sock puppet. I do admit that the case against Straighoutartp is a bit weak, but I thought I should just be through. As for the IP, it is from London, Ontario, Canada, the same city that CanadianHistorian says is his hometown. The edits by this IP with long edit summaries with no words not capitalized attacking other editor sounds much like CanadianHistorian. Compare these edits by the IP [21], [22], [23], [24], [25], [26], [27] and [28] with these edits by CanadianHistorian [29], [30] and [31]. Thank you for your time. --A.S. - Even without a checkuser, it is pretty clear RockGotti1813 is CanadianHistorian. One of CanadianHistorian's sock puppets was MC1813 and likewise RockGotti1813 has the number 1813 included. CanadianHistorian professes to be a historian of the Rock Machine and RockGotti1813 claims to be the "official historian" of the Rock Machine, see here: [[32]]. RockGotti1813 has long-winded edit summaries that make some sort of statement about correcting misinformation, see here [33]. CanadianHistorian did the same thing with his edit summaries, see here [34] and here [35] nnd here [36]. It is really important for CanadianHistorian to spell International with an i, see here [37]. Here is another example of CanadianHistorian spelling international with a capital I: [38]. Likewise the same is true of RockGotti1813 to spell international with an capital i, see here [39]. It really upsets CanadianHistorian the fact that there is no connection between the old Rock Machine and the new, see here [40], [41] and [42]. Likewise, the same is true of RockGott1813, see here [43], [44], and [45]. [edit]- Based on the technical data, both ROCK GOTTI18 and Straightouttartp are unrelated to CanadianHistorian. The data I'm comparing to is so old, however, it's almost meaningless. I suggest ignoring this and just going with behavior. RoySmith (talk) 21:09, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
