content was unsourced because no sources yet exist. I have searched extensively for the origin and official rules of this particular game but have found nothing on the internet thus far other than a few personal webpages despite the fact that this game is very widespread at several universities in my state. it would be wise to have this as a wiki page simply so internet users can see them and add to them according to how they play this game since we constantly encounter different groups of people who play with slightly different rules. -108.194.169.124 (talk) 06:12, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Petals Around the Rose

The game of dice is notable enough for inclusion, and lack of notability is the reason it was deleted through PROD. -ZtObOr 19:17, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Futz!

This is a TV show, the existence of which is easily verified, and so to which A1 doesn't apply. -Dogmaticeclectic (talk) 13:07, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

  •  Not done A1 certainly did count - there was zero content other than a Wikilink to Nelvana. Note also that "existence" and "notability" are 2 different things (✉→BWilkins←✎) 13:50, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
    • Your statement contradicts both WP:CSD#A1 ("Caution is needed when using this tag on newly created articles.") and WP:N (given that any TV show is virtually guaranteed to satisfy all of the criteria). I would therefore ask that you reconsider. Dogmaticeclectic (talk) 16:35, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Not done and will not be done No, there's no contradiction: the article was deleted a full 45 minutes after its "creation". There are multiple possible CSD categories this could have fit in. See WP:FIRSTARTICLE for the basic requirements for an article to remain. See WP:AFC or WP:USERSPACEDRAFT for your way forward. Do no try to argue that a basically blank article deserves to remain on Wikipedia (✉→BWilkins←✎) 16:40, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

The Demigodz

This group of musicians has quite a following and individual members have Wikipedia pages. The page was apparently deleted because the article lacked references. The page should be restored to allow for references to be added. -Ras ebisu (talk) 21:56, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Demigodz-one of the 10 albums in my lifetime I have purchased, They have a huge loyal following, and make great Music. Bring Demigodz page back! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.36.86.218 (talk) 22:17, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

As a fan of Demigodz group, I would like to request that the group's page be undeleted. They are a very relevant hip hop group that has existed for several year, has toured internationally, and gained a large following. The leading Demigods members Apathy and Celph Titled have a following of over 60,000 fans on Facebook alone. The group has worked with several prominent hip hop groups and artists including DJ Premiere, Army of the Pharaohs, RA The Rugged Man, Diabolic, Vinnie Paz, Cyprus Hill, Jedi Mind Tricks, Fort Minor, and many many more.

The removal of the page is insulting to the thousands of supporters of Demigodz and other underground music, and counterproductive to the Wikipedia's credibility as an encyclopedia that includes artists and musicians. I strongly urge Wikipedia to reverse this action and continue to provide information about one of the most influential and well-regarded groups in underground hip hop.

Thank you - Trevor -69.137.255.183 (talk) 22:26, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

I am looking at this, but considering Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Demigodz (2nd nomination). Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Demigodz had a no consensus. The recent recreations were also copyright violations. Cindamuse should reconsider the G4 deletion, because the article is different, and has many more new references, so G4 does not apply. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:01, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
I would like to add that even Apathy, a member of this group, wanted Wikipedia to review this article to undelete it on twitter. (https://twitter.com/ApathyDGZ/status/265912016290582528). JoyRider (talk) 19:26, 12 November 2012 (UTC) From according to Facebook; The fan base for Apathy is 22,692. The fan base for Ryu and DJ Cheapshot (who are also in group Styles of Beyond 18,057. Celph Titled has a fan base of 47,706. And Esoteric of 7L & Esoteric has a fan base of 5,558. This is approximately 90'000 fans. JoyRider (talk) 19:38, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
I would like to add, in regarding to Graeme Bartlett, I was the original creator of the first Demigodz page and admit, did breach copyright rules. This was easily spotted by a bot. I was okay with it being deleted but recreated it and this time copy-edited it and put it in my own words. Making sure I wasn't copyrighting other source of information. This time it wasn't noticed by a bot but a user realised that a page with this name had previously been deleted, so re-deleted the article. I also have (new) never before seen information that I typed up myself (With references) that could be added to the article. JoyRider (talk) 19:45, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

If I find some time, and I find it also of sufficient importance to dedicate more time to the argument, I will proceed with adressing the administrator, and if necessary placing it on the deletion review as I understand this is the correct procedure. I am a bit busy in this period, and therefore do not have a lot of time, which does not help Wikipedia a lot to become objective being so much dependent on how much time people have or retain to have time for WP, but well that's life. --Jpvandijk (talk) 12:57, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

Produsage

Seems that this was deleted a while ago as a neologism. Perhaps back in 2009 that might've been justified, today it is a term that has entered scientific discourse (numerous sources can be found through Google Books and Scholar). I have no idea if there is anything salvageable in the entry, but I think it can be restored nonetheless - in either case, I intend to create an article on that subject, properly referenced, for a DYK entry, and it would be nice to have the full article's history, even if just for attribution, if I have to rewrite everything. If the entry is a total piece of crap, please userfy it for me so I can verify that myself. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 20:02, 15 November 2012 (UTC) -Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 20:02, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

The original version of this had already been restored to and is still at User:Newmanoconnor/UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier. Some others as well but have been hastily moved back to main or later recreated without the edit history and with the already messy edit histories and our need for attribution I'd advise against e-mailing content that you actually want to use also with respect to the adjacent requests. Moreover, I note that 2012 in UFC events itself has been deleted perWikipedia:Articles for deletion/2012 in UFC events (4th nomination) and List of UFC events in 2012 is currently at AfD. Zementis

The Zementis page contains valuable information about company history and products pertinent to the open standards and predictive analytics communities. Company pages are important for users to have a 360 degree view of the landscape in a certain industry, specially if such an industry moves as fast as the pace of technology. In this particular case, Zementis is a leader in Big Data and predictive analytics, two of the hottest topics in information processing. Besides, it is a PMML powerhouse. PMML is an open-standard used by the entire data mining community to represent predictive models. Zementis products are transformative in which the combine open-standards and predictive analytics to solve the Big Data challenge. For this reason, the Zementis page is extremely valuable in Wikipedia. As any company page, it was deleted for being perceived as mere marketing, which does not apply here. -Sunsetsky (talk) 22:41, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

Not done Bullpuckey. The article started by saying Zementis "is a software company focused on predictive analytics"; then turned into an advertisement for "predictive analytics" as the next big thing for businesses smart enough to use Zementis products. Hi,

I linked this article (Italian Wikipedia, title "CSOA La Strada") some time ago from openstreetmap, and by the time I was reviewing the article and it made sense to link against, recently I found it deleted. Maybe the user deleted also other Stuff?

I tried to undelete it myself, but than found a message that undeletions were restricted to admins.

thank you, Martin

Not done. There has never been a page CSOA La Strada here on the English Wikipedia. The Italian Wikipedia is a separate organization with its own rules and standards. The Italian page was deleted there after this discussion, and you should approach the Italian administrator who closed it, whose name you can find at the foot of the discussion. JohnCD (talk)

Dubious content includes "the vision we have" "highly developed" "break out brand" "high-quality, innovative" "We fully embrace the challenge" "cutting edge" "Our brand" "groundbreaking" "RJ understands" "we are welcomed into the inner circle" "is a testament to the desire" and so on. page is referenced with links in many related pages and was about to be completed with more information, like the french page on the same article, which is not deleted -Faranne (talk) 01:53, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

As it's an expired WP:PROD, it can be undeleted - however, I would highly recommend that it be immediately move out of articlespace into a personal sandbox as a WP:USERSPACEDRAFT. There's nothing there that remotely hints at the notability requirements on the English Wikipedia which are very very different than the French Wikipedia. In other words, it will immediately be WP:AFD'd, and was originally eligible for immediate deletion in the first place. (✉→BWilkins←✎) 11:34, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
Done. Bwilkins' advice is good. I have "userfied" the page to User:Faranne/Yves Arman where you can work on it. As it was deleted by PROD, you are free to move it back to the main encyclopedia, but in its present state it would certainly be sent to WP:Articles for deletion. Advice on your talk page later today. JohnCD (talk) 12:14, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

This article has been created, and used correctly following wiki's guidelines. It was created by myself who is a fan and wanted to give accurate details about their fellow Chicago artist. There are ACCURATE cites, yes all of which are blogs, but they are straight from the artists page or pages with notable credibility. This page has only been edited by one member because of the validity of the sources and to my knowledge, there is not much info that must be changed except minor edits. I have followed all of Wiki's guidelines, rules, and provided accurate and quality information that people have been searching the internet for. This page should NOT have been deleted. Please reconsider your decision. Thank you -TheCANNON123 (talk) 12:34, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Promotional garbage like "These programs pushed her harder than she had ever been pushed creatively, but she flourished under the pressure and scrutiny. Dale J. Stephens

Looks like the page was automatically deleted after the tag WP:PROD had remained on the page for seven days. Checked google archives and the page has sources from CNN, The New York Times, ABC, among others, so it meets the notability for WP:BLP. -Godfatherscookies (talk) 22:12, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Disagree: after discussion on the Talk page, Stephens failed to meet the basic criteria for WP:BIO or WP:BLP given WP:WHYN and WP:N (and some instances of WP:SPIP). Coverage in the media is not, in and of itself, sufficient criteria for notability. Further, specifically on his book, it must actually be published before he meets the criteria for being an author. Steuben (talk) 22:37, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Stephens has an overwhelming quantity and quality of press to meet notability for living people. These are from the most credible, reliable sources publications possible: Inc. Magazine: http://www.inc.com/magazine/201109/peter-thiel-college-dropouts.html CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/18/opinion/bennett-thiel-education/index.html Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/youth-radio-youth-media-international/creator-of-uncollege-gets_b_871214.html?ref=tw The Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/dale-stephens-unschoolers-create-their-education/2011/08/22/gIQAp3VMjJ_story.html ABC: http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/education&id=8151836 New York Magazine: http://nymag.com/news/features/college-education-2011-5/index4.html

The page should be restored based on those sources alone. Godfatherscookies (talk) 23:30, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

We did consider that, but the sources had no further insight into his notability other than a self-appointed expert. The number of sources (and quality) still, in this case, don't justify encyclopedic record—at least not until he's accomplished something "notable," which the discussion failed to show. Again, this seems to be rehashing what was actually in the article and not discussion of the article itself; these arguments were made and addressed in the Talk page so until something changes, it doesn't belong. I'm actually actively looking for someone who knows him (and I know people) to try to see if there's something to be revived here, but no luck thus far. Steuben (talk) 23:40, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request.. It may still be nominated at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a discussion lasting seven days to which you would be welcome to contribute. JohnCD (talk) 15:20, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

Shivnarayanpur,mathurapur

I cannot understand why this was deleted under G1. It only had some grammatical mistakes -Anbu121 (talk me) 16:14, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

  • Comment: the first half may have made some sense, but the second half was entirely uncomprehensible. Can you explain what "Shivnarayanpur are in " followed by a list of things that includes "DJ Masters" actually means?? There also was not even a single reference to be found (✉→BWilkins←✎) 17:45, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
As far as I can remember, the list included things/places/shops that were present in the village. But, even then, how come G1 applies to it? Isn't G1 supposed to be for an article where you don't understand what the article is talking about. --Anbu121 (talk me) 19:02, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Yes, and the second half of the article made the entire article nonsensical (✉→BWilkins←✎) 19:42, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Its just poor writing and poor grammar. I still feel that deleting it under G1 is unjust. I will clean it up, if restored. --Anbu121 (talk me) 20:21, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Anbu121, 50% of the edits on that article were yours, including explicitly claiming in an edit summary that you were performing a "clean up". Yet, this is the result;

In mathurapur many peoples are rich some peoples are those poor and shivnarayanpur is also not in down position this is also in equal position. Shivnarayanpur are in :- 1. Block 2. Famous market 3. people reach 4. Show Rooms 5. Police Station 6. Big Buildings 7. Bus Stoppages 8. Park 9. DJ Masters 10. Airtel,Reliance,Vodafone,Idea,Uni nor, BSNL, Tata Docomo Towers

This is is incoherent gibberish(G1). I'm not confident this will survive inclusion if restored.--Hu12 (talk) 05:15, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Initially I removed some irrelevant text at the bottom of the article. Then I rephrased the first sentence and added wikilinks. To rephrase the above quoted text, I was googling to find some source. But the article was deleted before I could do so. Do you think, I am not capable of cleaning this up. Believe me, I have written a GA. In any case, I still wouldn't accept that the quoted text is G1, its just poor writing and poor grammar by a person who is semi-literate. The intention of this quoted text is to communicate that the neighbouring village 'mathurapur' has some rich people, but the village 'Shivnarayanpur' (subject of the article) is not in a impoverished condition and that the village has a market, some showrooms, police station, bus stand, park, etc. --Anbu121 (talk me) 05:26, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
I'm not sure how any of the above is relevant? A list of shops and base services is not appropriate in any article (✉→BWilkins←✎) 15:25, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Even if irrelevant, how will that come under G1? Even if you delete this entire sentence from the article, the first sentence alone stating that it is a village is sufficient for a stub. --Anbu121 (talk me) 17:14, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
I have recreated the stub for you at Shivnarayanpur. There seems to be enough evidence online that this exists. Please add references and categories etc. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:00, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, but I really didn't expect this amount of resistance and defending for a mistake. --Anbu121 (talk me) 11:08, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
