  • Not done I'm sorry, but we cannot keep pages on WP:NEOLOGISMS. You would have to show that the phrase has received enough coverage in independent and reliable sources (newspapers, journal entries, and the like) to be considered notable. Wikipedia is not a place for things that people came up with on their own one day, in the hopes that it will make it more known and popular. I think this is the right place to bring this up, as the note on the page said there were no replies to a deletion request. (This is not my page.) I'm concerned that this page maybe have been deleted due to WP:LACK or WP:TOOSHORT, rather than an actual lack of notability. There are over 60,000 MAD on NicoNico alone; there are 8 pages here on Wikipedia with red links to the article (not counting user pages). There is a Japanese Wikipedia page, with sources and external links. There are separate, well-developed pages for Anime Music Video, Machinma, and Vidding - different styles/traditions but the same broad art form. I came here hoping to find information on this topic and was deeply saddened to see that a lack of easily found secondary sources in English was given as a reason for deletion, rather than as a reason for requesting improvement of the article and/or translation help. -The Old Briar Pipe (talk) 05:59, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

The Emperor's New Groove (franchise)

This Disney franchise article was deleted in isolation with very little discussion. Afterwards, the entire series of Disney franchise articles went to AFD, where the concept has received support and it appears the articles will be kept.   • Done Normally we don't restore AfD articles, but while closing the AfD User:Sandstein remarked that the close should be treated as if it was a WP:PROD. I do think that if the others are kept, then there is a reasonable enough rationale for this to be restored. @Pandey Mritunjay:  Not done. This file was uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, which is a separate organization, and deleted there for copyright reasons. Commons does not allow non-free images, but this site, Wikipedia, does allow them in some circumstances, and logos are one of those exceptions. You need to upload the image file to Wikipedia (not Commons) using the Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard, but first read Wikipedia:Logos for advice on the copyright issues and how to add the necessary image copyright tag and fair-use rationale. Green Earth Landscaping and Nursery

Yesterday you nominated this page for speedy deletion stating that it is not significant as an encyclopaedic content. But I would like to bring to your notice that Green Earth is the only Green Company in the region and has been working towards protecting the local people from various factors including pollution, poverty, educational degradation and political instability. This company has begun construction of 80000 sq ft Biodiversity park. It will be first of its kind in the area which will educate people about the flora and fauna of the region. There has been no such initiative since last 65 years. This is the reason I want to create a page to provide information about the company and its work. There are 3100 people which are associated with this project and are voluntarily helping to reach out to the people outside our sphere of influence. In order to accomplish this other people need to know the basis of this revolutionary work and there is no other place better than Wikipedia to share this knowledge. This company is also related to many of my recent edits and new pages related to temples, forts and clans in the surrounding area. I would like to see a page dedicated to such a work. Please make sure that this page is accepted as it will provide a common link to all the people and places in the area of its influence. By denying its presence on Wiki, you will deny 3100 people from coming forward for a better future. The whole purpose of wikipedia is to provide an encyclopedia for people all over the world . I don't know whether you know it or not, but in India almost everyone seeks information first on wikipedia and then go for other references. You have a good reputation here. I am not trying to create some kind of revolution through this site. I wanted to create a page so that the region in which this company is based will get a global exposure. I would have done it by creating my own website but I would like to add it to an online encyclopedia of which Wikipedia is the largest and the most followed in our region. I am not trying to market my company or my products. The page was deleted even before I could enter a second line to it. FYI I am a reputed environmentalist and a professor on 2nd largest University in India. I agree that you won't allow first hand information, but you can't deny that information regarding such matters will be cannot be found in books or old articles. You have to start somewhere when you want to introduce a region who isn't highlighted anywhere on wikipedia. Its like they are being denied their existence by your moderators and admins. I have enough websites and marketing companies to advertise my company. The sole purpose of this page was to inform about the upcoming eco park (100,000 sq ft) as well as 2 world class ports that are being built near by. This information is merely geographic and developmental. Talking about references, if you won't allow press releases then I would like to ask why you should believe in government sites to verify my content. How much can one trust some other countries government. Will you call or mail them to ask about it? I am ready to provide LEGITIMATE references and articles from newspapers and books. I even possess documents that are 400 years old. For this to be done I need the page so that you can cross verify the content with those links. I did not originally create a Wikipedia page but one was created by the former publisher of the Desert Star Weekly newspaper, a paper I co-founded. When we sold the newspaper and that publisher resigned, I stayed on for 18 months to help with the company transition over to the Sun Newspapers and Community Media Corporation. It was at that time that I took over maintenance of the page and it edited and reposted it under a different email address. If this is improper, I apologize for the error. Please reconsider and undelete the page. If you need to have another party post the page, like the newspaper, I can accommodate that, but I will need a copy of the page. Max Lieberman is the new Publisher and Editor of the Desert Star Weekly, and he will be happy to post the information under their name. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Joseph Llambias Clatworthy

Hi, hope you're well and business is good. I was hopping you'd reverse the deletion of my deceased fathers web page. He was an artist with much following from the press. One of his painting is part of the Imperial War Museum's permanent collection. http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/42996 They are uploading images to all their entries, but this has been a huge undertaking as I'm sure you can understand. Central European Journal of Mathematics

Reason: this is the page of a mathematical journal created 11 years ago. Its history must remain inviolated. Someone redirected this page to another one called "Open Mathematics" which is a different journal, run over the model "the author pays for publishing" which is totally opposite to the origila scope and dedication of the Central European journal of Mathematics. The Board of CEJM resigned in protest against this radical change and created a new journal "European j of Mathematics" which inherits the principles of the old CEJM.

To check the validity of my request, please verify the Boards and Editors in Chief of the journals in the following links:

  • The above is incorrect, there has been no deletion. Open Mathematics is the new name for the journal formerly known as Central European Journal of Mathematics. The complete history is still described in the article and the old name now redirects to the new name, as per usual procedure. The fact that the previous editor and (part of?) the editorial board have moved to a different publisher to start a new journal is also mentioned, so I really don't see the problem here. --Randykitty (talk) 10:55, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

The journal is correctly listed under its current name, and its history including its previous name is described in the article, with a redirect so that anyone searching for the previous name will be taken to the article. The European Journal of Mathematics is probably too new to meet the requirements of WP:Notability (academic journals), but can have an article when it does. Please I request you for un-deletion of Article Vandana (Kannada actrss). I think the contents are true to best of my knowledge. Though I've given three references the article is deleted for the reason that the article has same title and same content as the earlier deleted article on Same person. What I feel is the same title is good because there are many actresses with same name so that she can easily be identified from others. And even more I only created the old deleted article with the same name. I don't have anything to gain from this article. What I thought was this might be kind of respect to an actress and can be a reference to a future generation of people. If possible re-create the article with meaningful changes.

The monograph, born in December 2011, reached its number 7, is well known and discussed in the world of architectural theory. They wrote on it with their articles, artists, writers, philosophers and architects very popular available on wikipedia. They talk about a lot of magazines and blogs all over the world as it was listed in the bibliography of his page deleted.

 Done. It was abandoned because it was a draft that hadn't had a single edit in over 6 months. In any case, it's restored now, but a second abandonment will make it less likely that it will be restored again. @Dsachdeva123: the deleted article was extremely promotional, full of "peacock terms", unsupported adjectives of praise. To quote a few examples: "uniquely designed to deliver customer-centricity, meritocracy and corporate ethics... rigorous, fully mentored program... Top faculty... unique approach towards management education... immense peer learning opportunities... strong connection and interface with the industry... solid foundation for management thought..." That was not an encyclopedia article, it was an advertisement, written with the purpose of promoting GLIM and making it look good. I do not know why it was allowed to survive for so long. The place for that sort of thing is on your own web-site.
If you want an article to be accepted, my advice is:
  • Make it much shorter. An encyclopedia article is not a prospectus. You can link to your own website, and anyone interested can read all the detail, and all the glowing adjectives, there.
  • Put out of your mind any idea that you are writing for GLIM. You should be writing for Wikipedia about GLIM, from outside. Read WP:Verifiability and when you write any glowing adjective, or indeed any claim, imagine a hostile critic looking over your shoulder saying "Who says so? Can you prove that?"
  • Follow the advice of a very experienced Wikipedian at User:Uncle G/On notability#Writing about subjects close to you:

"When writing about subjects that are close to you, don't use your own personal knowledge of the subject, and don't cite yourself, your web site, or the subject's web site. Instead, use what is written about the subject by other people, independently, as your sources. Cite those sources in your very first edit. If you don't have such sources, don't write."

  • As you are (I presume) connected with GLIM, you should read WP:COI and WP:PSCOI, declare your interest (e.g. by a note on your user page) and use WP:Articles for creation rather than posting an article directly, so that the article can be reviewed by an uninvolved user.
