Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Obligatory short definition section

I don't know where to post this. Wikipedia is excelent and unique source of information, but articles sometimes are too detailed for someone who is looking for simple definition. So each one should consist of 2 sections:

  1. short encyclopedic information, for example up to 255 characters (without references and other markup)
  2. detailed description

This division not always is clear. Perhaps special template for such short section would be useful. Or even separate section analogical to article and talk sections. Obligatory.

Such section, perhaps written in appropriate special template like

{{definition|
content here
}}

could be put into frame for example, at the beginning of an article. Sometimes sections of an article are like separate articles explaining additional terms and definition here could be added too - at the beginning of given section if needed. What would complicate things ...

    • I didn't know about Wiktionary, noticed only such short descriptions sometimes in Google in right panel (edible frog for example), but it was not the reason of posting this proposal. So maybe links pointing to Wiktionary or definition from the Wiktionary at the beginning of an article because it is very condensed. However definitions in the Wiktionary are too short in turn ...
