User User:September 6, 1984 is another identifiable sockpuppet of User:Starwars1955. Recent anon edits have come from 4.245.0.0/16, so it is likely that more sockpuppets are coming from this IP range. Sockpuppet was specifically aged in such a way that it allowed editing semi-protected Brett Favre, which by and large has been the sole page this community-banned editor is interested in editing. Request check against other puppets this user may have aged, a block of User:September 6, 1984 consistent with the user's community ban and other sockpuppets they may have aged; a possible IP block against 4.245.0.0/16.

Diffs: [1] and [2], a typical signature of the editor, who bluelinks user and talk page to avoid looking new; this also demonstrates aging the sockpuppet.

Diffs on Brett Favre: [3][4][5][6] (As a community banned editor, presumption is no edit this user wants to make is accepted, regardless of merit, because they're banned.)

Diffs on other pages: Example, [7], which changed a correct (referenced) date in an article to an incorrect one. Several other edits of this type were made as per [8]

(Amended: I noticed you found two more: User:Skjbunny and User:Brandon Gibson.) If User:September 6, 1984 and User:Alyssa Gibson all found sockpuppets have been administratively blocked, then the remaining purpose of this request is to check for any sleeper/aged accounts coming from the IP range, because I do not know of any other currently active WP users editing as SW1955. Also...I am beginning to wonder if the ISP for 4.245.0.0 should be getting involved. The reason is that the way this is working is about like so:

  1. Community banned editor creates sockpuppets, or aged sockpuppets, depending on whether Brett Favre is semi-protected or not
  2. User starts making changes to the page, and editing patterns quickly give away their identity
  3. User is challenged by an editor on the page and edits start getting reverted as a community banned editor (I am only the latest one; see Wikipedia:Community_sanction_noticeboard/Archive11#Starwars1955 for other recent ones)
  4. Community banned editor goes away, usually for about a week's time.
  5. Return to step one.

I suspect that somehow, someone has to make clear to this individual that they are community banned, do not have the right to edit in any way unless cleared by the arbitration committee, and that edits they are making only serve to slow actual development on the Brett Favre page, or any other page they touch. Since 4.245.x.x edited this page themselves, I think it safe to assume that they are watching it. Skybunny 13:17, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
