  • Code letter: C (serious pattern of sneaky vandalism by throwaway socks, while socketmaster maintains a facade of respectability)

There has been a series of throwaway accounts, clearly of the same user, whose contributions present a unique mixture of seemingly good-faith (though misguided/confused) edits, some edits apparently sneaky vandalism, some downright nonsensical, and some blatant attacks and other forms of disruption. Most of these accounts have been blocked and they are easy to spot. However, the suspected sockpuppeter, R9tgokunks (talk · contribs), is a bit more difficult to link to this series of socks. He maintains a façade of respectability, for the most part making good-faith edits, though they are often aggressive, misguided and/or POV-pushing.

Nevertheless, I believe R9tgokunks can conclusively be linked to the sock series, by a couple of striking similarities in their editing profile. These are too special to be coincidental:

Common interests linking R9tgokunks with the sock army
sneaky vandalism by socks
other disruption, attacks, nonsense edits, etc.
Admissions of vandalism, intentional disruption

I already have additional evidence in the form of temporal editing patterns, which I believe is almost conclusive enough to warrant a block on the sockmaster, but since we might be dealing with the need for an indef ban here, I'd appreciate confirmation by checkuser before I take action. I have never seen someone lie as much as yourself! You don't have evidence, and it's impossible TO have any evidence such as that, because I have no sockpuppets, and never did have any, well, other than my default IP address. EDIT: Let me also add that I am currently being stalked by User:Future Perfect at Sunrise as of last week, and it's quite disturbing for me to notice that he obviously is going to articles that I edit and is reverting my edits.-- Hrödberäht (gespräch) 22:23, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Red X Unrelated. There is no IP or other obvious relationship between R9tgokunks and the other listed editors. (I do question the wisdom of having a signature with no relationship at all to the editor's username, but that's just my problem.) --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 01:56, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
