The already heated conflicts over Assyrian people are not being helped by the addition to a heady mix of some patent sockpuppets swanning around. I am not entirely sure as to the puppetmaster: Nochi (talk · contribs) - a banned user and proven sockpuppeteer - is my best guess, for the diction, topic-area and POV seem to cohere fairly well - though this area suffers from multiple users with an, ah, interesting history, such as EliasAlucard (talk · contribs): however, it is not my impression that he is involved here. See also Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/VegardNorman for other concerns about sockpuppetry in this area - this mess needs cleaning up. Moreschi (talk) 17:19, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

P.S - I realise Nochi will be stale, but he has been successfully checkusered before, and jpgordon (talk · contribs) might have the info from that first check, I guess. Moreschi (talk) 13:34, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Users show a strong similarity in a number of respects. Specifically:

  • Similar diction and spelling.
  • Similar behavior, including nationalist POV pushing on a number of articles including Assyrian and Arab-related articles; especially those of specific ethnic groups like Arab Jews and Assyrian people.[1] [2]
  • Similar history of personal attacks, especially against User:EliasAlucard. [3] [4]
  • Generally similar subject areas and interests, with one user starting shortly after the other is indefinitely blocked implies to me that these users are probably the same person. --Haemo 19:24, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here's some comments by User:EliasAlucard from his talk page:

Thanks for the RFCU; I was going to do it myself, but too lazy. Here are some examples: Nochi talking about Marsh Arabs being "Sumerians", which incidentally Irqirq is doing here. Another thing is their basically identical talk pages: [5] and [6] There's more, I'll try to remember some more of the articles Nochi was involved in. — EliasAlucard|Talk 21:48 10 Sept, 2007 (UTC)
