Jayone[edit]

The whole dispute involving blocked user Jayone was about the relationship of Boston to other states within New England, specifically, Connecticut. Jayone argued that Boston meant nothing to Connecticut, and argued for mention of that. The request seemed perfectly legitimate, however Jayone started to add double headers[1][2]. Also, Jayone made several disturbing comments and threats that he would keep coming back[3][4][5]. It should also be noted that Jayone had an interest in making comments about Puerto Ricans having somesort of relation to Africans[6]. All of the IPs listed have shown similar edits and traits of Jayone, in which they edit an article pertaining to New England or Boston, and mention Connecticut, threaten other users with hostile language on their talk or user page, and make somesort of mention of Puerto Ricans actually being African. IP 69.177.181.245, made an edit to New England[7], on the 21st on May, so I suspect that may be Jayone's original IP. IP 69.177.39.27, attacked me[8] and cited a conversation that occured with another IP address (66.159.172.100). 66.159.172.100 also shows signs of being Jayone through edits to New England[9], other userpages[10], and makes reference to Puerto Rico[11][12]. IP 69.182.30.200, also shows similar habits with edits to Dominican Republic[13] and relations to Africans, New England[14][15], and threatens to keep coming bacl[16]. IP 69.0.83.11 threatened to come back[17], and threatened me[18][19]. IP 69.183.7.113 did the same doubleheader incident[20][21] and a reference to Boston being the hub of CT. Note: New IPs have made their prescence known:

Clerk note: All these IPs are the same ISP (SBC Internet in Connecticut); most have been given short term blocks for vandalism. Thatcher131 21:20, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed. I'm not going to report on each IP separately, but there is evidence of use by Jayone. Like many other ISPs, SBC (Southwestern Bell) rotates IPs fairly often, so short blocks are advised, if there is a need to block. Essjay (TalkConnect) 08:38, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
