DeathSeeker

[edit]
  • Code letter: F

User:DeathSeeker has been blocked a number of times for violating 3RR and using sockpuppets to do so. He's currently under a 72 hour block for the same sort of behavior (see here). His typical editing pattern is to make massive numbers of small changes to videogame-related articles, adding lots of technical detail, and revert uncontroversial, consensus-based changes by simply referring to a guideline or policy. Recently, in the transaction he was blocked for, he was doing this by referring to WP:LEAD. I just encountered this edit by User:Just64helpin on the Wii article, and figured requesting a Checkuser was the right thing to do. It could just be a coincidence, but if he's evading his block that's fairly serious. Nandesuka 19:43, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed. DeathSeeker = 123wiki123, but that isn't anything that wasn't made clear on User:123wiki123 by 70.101.196.236 who is, of course, the same user. I don't see any evidence in the check of those three to implicate Just64helpin, and that leaves me unwilling to check further, as there doesn't seem to be much to tie him to the other three. Therefore, no Declined with regad to Just64helpin. Essjay (Talk) 04:02, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DeathSeeker

[edit]

An edit war has been raging on Xbox 360. Initially, the warring was all from one IP address, 74.33.0.16. When the article was semiprotected, an editor named DeathSeeker appeared and has now been blocked twice in two days under the 3RR. Now in the middle of his 2 day block, an editor named User:Jigahurtz has stepped up to the plate and continued reverting to DeathSeeker's preferred version, using the same sort of odd language and justifications in the edit summary. I'd like to know if he's sockpuppeting to avoid the consequences of his 3RR violations. Nandesuka 23:02, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
