(Bluemarine is likely stale, as he has been blocked since January 2008. The IP addresses are all known/admitted socks of his, and are logged at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Bluemarine#Log of blocks and bans. One is a Roadrunner IP, and the other three are T-Mobile IP, included because they are fresh and may tie the two accounts together.)

Brianlandeche, an account created on 10 April 2008, edited three times on that date. His fourth edit, on 21 April 2008, was to Talk:Matt Sanchez, and twelve of his remaining fifteen edits were to either that page or to Matt Sanchez, the article itself. His edits were all substantially similar to edits done by Bluemarine himself. (Bluemarine is Matt Sanchez, for any checkuser is is not familiar with the case.) The clincher, however, is [1], which contains the statement "This comes straight from the OTRS." O RLY? And he would know this...HOW? The only people who can access OTRS tickets are OTRS volunteers and the people who submit them. Matt Sanchez has submitted dozens of OTRS requests, as per JzG ([2]; I suspect that they too contain substantially similar requests. Another coincidence is their shared appreciation of Superman; Bluemarine added a "Superman fan" userbox to his user talk page [3] and Brainlandeche has a WP Superman userbox on his user page. Comment Repeating myself from WP:AE, I asked for a checkuser off-wiki on the same account last night. It came back negative, but I still have concerns. Also stating for the record that spoofing/joe jobbing is a significant concern in this dispute. And in reply to Horologium about the "clincher", this post by JzG from about twelve hours earlier would have been a strong tip-off that OTRS has probably been filed for just about all of the subject's likely concerns. I really don't know what to think here, but am open to all possibilities. Bear in mind that last night I also requested OTRS for several edits that were almost certainly made by recently-indeffed Eleemosynary. DurovaCharge! 14:46, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adding:

Tanstaffl's first five edits included successfully tagging Brianlandeche as a sock, and two at Arbitration Enforcement, which strongly suggests we have another sock at work here, and a possible joe job, as suggested by Durova. Blocked user Eleemosynary has a recent history with Sanchez; he is a possible puppeteer. Horologium (talk) 15:23, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adding:

Probable IP sock of Eleemosynary, most of the recent edits were attempts to out a Wikipedian and have been oversighted. DurovaCharge! 15:32, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Likely that Tanstaffl and 69.64.213.146 are Eleemosynary.
  • Brianlandeche is  Inconclusive. The account was created in New York City but is now editing elsewhere. Could be spring break, or Bluemarine created the account but handed it off to a friend, or completely unrelated. You'll have to act based on contributions. Thatcher 23:55, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, as per this diff, we've established that User:Brianlandeche is a meatpuppet of Sanchez, or at least is proxy-editing for him. I would suggest indef blocking Tanstaffl and soft blocking the IP for a few days. Horologium (talk) 00:59, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Accounts have been trolling User:Bluemarine and Talk:Matt Sanchez. Bluemarine admits to being Matt Sanchez, the subject of Wikipedia's article. Bluemarine is also the subject of Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Bluemarine. Based upon the sockpuppets' use of userboxes I have concluded that the sockmaster is a Wikipedian rather than some random blog reader who dislikes him.[5][6][7][8][9][10] The sockmaster has probably participated at the RFC, where the only editor who displays anything resembling this brand of vulgarity is Bluemarine himself.[11] The others are civil and procedure-oriented. Matt Sanchez has a history of disruptive self-promotion, so requesting this checkuser to either confirm this scenario or clear those suspicions and uncover some Jekyll-and-Hyde personality that has been getting under his skin. Filed as a class F for the indef on Bigjohnson 12445. DurovaCharge! 05:12, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bluemarine has used the sockpuppet Rightwingerpride (talk · contribs), but I don't immediately see any others. He does not match Bigjohnson12445 or Macperson. Those sockpuppets are clearly the same person, and appears to be the same as PimpCane3000 (talk · contribs), but there is no clear master. This doesn't mean that there isn't one, but it's not a simple static IP, so if I had an account to check against, I could do that, but It is nearly impossible to find a main account otherwise.
