Questions for the candidate

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for participants:

1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
A: My most anticipated chore is helping stop vandalism. This is extremely important because false information is giving Wikipedia a bad name.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A: I am pleased with my page on bengal fire sticks. Besides that, I have done a couple major edits, and many minor ones.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A:

A conflict I've come across multiple times is that information is false, or that the page has just been scribbled on with random or profane words. I dealt with this by putting the best information I could find back in the article, so that it can be used as a reliable resource again.

General comments

Please keep criticism constructive and polite.

Discussion

Support

  1. I support the cause that Wikipedia is fighting for, to bring a free encyclopedia to the public that anybody can add to.

Oppose

  1. I oppose vandals, people who just want to mess up Wikipedia's articles so they are useless.

Neutral

I am signing up for an administrator position because I want to go to the next level of being a Wikipedian. I have made stub and done minor editing, but Wikipedia limits on how much editing a normal user can do. Also, I have seen the vandalism done to some articles, and have become very frustrated on having false information. I want to help stop vandalism too.

I am looking forward to a response, positive or negative.

                                                                              Applej12
