Tirin[edit]

Vote here (1/0/1) ending 04:44 5 August 2005 (UTC)

Tirin (talk · contribs) - An experienced user who has been around for a while, knows his way around Wikipedia and written a whole bunch of good articles. He's not been controversial, and I suspect would make an excellent admin. Ambi 04:46, 29 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: Nomination refused. While I acknowledge the recognition and think I would make a good admin, I do not want to devote the time and responsibility, at least at this stage, to the sysop chores. I wish to continue to focus on adding and editing content.--Takver 06:16, 29 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Neutral for now. I've got to wait for him to answer the questions below before I make up my mind. I would just like to note, Ambi, that your description of Tirin was a bit vague. Ryan 04:54, July 29, 2005 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A. None
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Eight-hour day I think is my outstanding piece. I have also made significant contributions to Category:Melbourne parks and gardens, Category:Australian cyclists. The entries on Alfredo M. Bonanno and Ron Sakolsky were major expansions during VfD debates. I also try to add references for any content that I add. While I have a focus on Australia, I am not afraid to make edits to events, locations and people outside of this focus where I have specific knowledge.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. Perhaps a couple of minor disagreements resolved through Talk pages. I generally try to Assume good faith, always Sign and date my posts, and Work toward agreement.
