Teniii (talk · contribs) - YOUR DESCRIPTION OF THE USER Teniii 23:44, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: I Teniii accept the nomination to become a wikipedia administrator.
I may not have been here for years and years like some of the other veterans, i'm not going to lie and say i have. I just hope eveyrone will accept my hard-working skills and dedication to this site to allow me the keys to the car. I would like to explain to everyone, however, that i got in a real bad case after my account creation and got blocked for 24 hours for creating a page that had beene deleted, sorry for that, but just thought i'd get it out there in the open so it doesn't look like i'm hiding anything. Thanks Everyone!!! Teniii 00:13, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: Mainly i enjoy ancient chinese history so i will spend most of my time protecting pages and other things only administrators can do to help the environment of Wikipedia. For example, the first thing i would like to do is un-protect the Eastern Wu page since it has been blocked since early February. I find this concerning since Cao Wei and Shu Han became protected the same day and since then have both been un-protected. I guess overall i wouldn't be the best administrator, i'm not going to lie and say i would be, but i would do my best to help the wikipedia community especially in the pages i cited.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: Well mainly i am good at ending edit wars. I have done so many times in the past, i know what to say in certain situations to stop the fighting without having to report anyone. Grant it, however, if i ever had to block a sockpuppet or an abusive user after giving him/her several warnings I would do so. I have always looked up to administrators as a goal i would bever reach, and here i am months upon months after joing, feeling it is finally my time to apply. So all i'm going to say is "if you trust me enough to give me a shot, then please do so and i will not let you other administrators as well as the rest of the wikipedia community down.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: As I stated earlier i am excellent at ending edit wars. That is my strong point on wikipedia. I know what to say in certain situations to end all the fighting that has been taken place. For example i was the one who ended the edit wars in the "Dynasty Warriors Characters" page over the non-playable character section...I simply said, if you want this editing to be over lets compromise. We will leave it as a sidenote at the bottom of each section and everyone will be happy, anyone who goes against this may do so, but if i catch you i will warn you, and eventually report you. After I left that post the forum stopped the edit war immediately. So really it has never caused me any stress, i just do what i got to do to keep one of my favorite websites a nice, happy community to reside in. I will keep going even if i am not let into the administrational community, doing my part for Wikipedia and all its users.

Oppose
- Oppose You have just 162 edits, and that alone shows that you are too inexperienced right now. If you truly want to be an admin, gather much more experience by joining some projects and just getting involved. Best, Jmlk17 00:37, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry, but I can't support.
- Right off the bat, I see a few problems:
- First of all, add a description. If you don't, that's going to net you a lot more opposes.
- Try to use capital letters.
- Now, the more permanent problems:
- Edit summaries are severely lacking. Summaries are one of the hallmarks of a good editor.
- You've only been an editor for 4 months, with a grand totla of 162 edits. While I don't love edit counts, that doesn't look like enough experience.
- Now for the big one: your behavior pertaining to deletion. You have eplained your the block already on your record, but I can also see blanking Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dynasty Warriors 6, as well as changing other's votes. I'm not going to support an editor who does that. ¿SFGiДnts! ☺ ☻ 00:39, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose. Suggest coming back when you have more experience. In the meanwhile, read up on our policies and enjoy editing! And please be sure to stay out of trouble. Best, --Shirahadasha 00:41, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose. Blocked as recently as February 2007. Possible puppetmaster of various abusive sock/meatpuppets (see related discussion). Edited a talk page comment to distort the intended meaning[1], and blanks user talk page without archiving. Only prior projectspace edits consist of repeatedly vandalizing an AFD discussion and filing a speedy closed DRV. Has not demonstrated the requisite experience, judgment, and knowledge of WP policies and guidelines to make a reliable admin. --Muchness 00:42, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Oppose Blocked, blanking, 104 mainspace edits. Not enough knowledge, ect. TTalk to me 00:43, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Oppose per Wikihermit as well as Muchness. Real96 01:52, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Oppose because of very little experience and low edit count. — Wenli 02:43, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Oppose. You don't have the adequate experience to become an admin, for the reasons stated above. Sr13 (T|C) 02:48, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
