Request for help[edit]

Hi everybody. I'm writing an article and because of a really busy program, I have a long time to write it. So, I thought that there might be other Wikipedians who might be interested. I'm talking about my Draft:Alissic. Whoever wants to help is welcome. She's one of the artists I love the most and, even though I'd like to work on it on my own, unfortunately I can't, so I would be really grateful if someone could give me a helping hand with it. Some sources I found are:

Thanks everybody - Fisforfenia (talk) 09:23, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Fisforfenia. This page is for asking questions about entertainment topics. The best place to ask for help with this article is probably Wikipedia:Requested_articles/Arts_and_entertainment/Performing_arts. Good luck! Shantavira|feed me 15:40, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'm sorry @Shantavira, I didn't know. I just thought that this good be the right place. Also, I think that on the link you provided me they only request articles and not drafts. Anyway, thanks though. I'll see what I can do or I'll keep it to do it on summer time. Thanks again. - Fisforfenia (talk) 12:38, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify, Fisforfenia, the Requested Articles lists are for editors (like yourself) to add requests for Articles about the subjects they name to be created, and it's very useful for requesters to list and link what potential sources they've already found. As you have already started a Draft, you can just add those sources to its Talk page and say you've done this at the request.
It's greatly preferred (though not compulsory) that every proposed Article goes through a Draft stage (though experienced editors are allowed to create Articles directly). You have already started the process by creating a draft and a list of potential sources. You can take as long as you like to develop the Draft, because Wikipedia has no deadlines: however, if no edits are made to a Draft for 6 continuous months, it may be deemed inactive and deleted.
If you list your request where Shantavira suggests, with a link to the Draft, more people may see it and pitch in to help. Also, others who independently have the same idea may check the list, see your request, and know they don't need to make their own request or Draft. Good luck! {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.205.224.154 (talk) 18:50, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks a lot. This is what I'm going to do and also thanks for your clarification. I've also have to thank @Shantavira for his/her idea. Once I'm finished I'll remove this section. Thanks again! - Fisforfenia (talk) 19:01, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, Fisforfenia, don't remove anything! Once people (i.e. me, you and anyone else who chimes in) stop adding new posts to this particular Query section, it will after a few days be moved to the Entertainment Ref Desk's Archives. We prefer that all posts be retained, and it's considered a serious faux pas to remove (or edit in any way) someone else's posts (except on your own Account's Talk page, where removing posts is deemed to demonstrate that you've read them – important if they were warnings, though I doubt that will ever be relevant in your case).
One reason for this is that many more people than the actual posters read Reference and Help Desk posts, and often learn from them without having to post their own queries. There is even the facility to search Desk archives to see if a particular question has been asked and answered.
Don't worry about not automatically knowing many of the customs and procedures here yet: everybody had to learn them at one time, just as every driver on the road had to learn how to drive by practicing and having mistakes pointed out by an instructor. And just as no-one is a perfect driver, I bet no-one knows everything about all aspects of this vast project called Wikipedia. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.205.224.154 (talk) 04:13, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It might also be a good idea, Fisforfenia, to copy these linked references on to the Talk page of the Draft (which you have not yet activated – just click on its red tab at the top of the Draft), perhaps with a little explanatory text. They will then be immediately accessible to anyone wanting to contribute to the Draft, rather than hidden in this soon-to-be-archived Refdesk query. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.205.224.154 (talk) 19:13, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
