Sound effect used on some of this Youtube contributors vids[edit]

Hi all, I know I have heard the first 5 seconds intro to [1] in a movie before but I can't place it and I can't find it on this Youtube contributors pages, they also use some other intros but interested in this one. Thanks much!2600:1702:690:F7A0:A98E:3CC4:FDEB:29A5 (talk) 02:08, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

These are the first seconds of the sound track of Navajo Joe,[2] composed by Ennio Morricone, who scored many Spaghetti Westerns. My impression is that this is a wailing human voice, more specifically a woman's voice.  --Lambiam 10:23, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Football cup competitions[edit]

Does Wikipedia have an article about the overall concept of football cup competitions, such as the FA Cup or the U.S. Open Cup? For American sports fans who don't follow soccer closely, the idea that there is a competition that involves not only teams from the top level of the sport but also lower-level leagues could be surprising, and if we don't have an article that discusses the overall topic of cup competitions, we probably should. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 22:16, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

One comparison could be high school and college basketball tournaments, where typically every team starts out with a theoretical chance at making it to the final championship game. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 13:35, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
One that occasionally comes up would be if all the levels of baseball - the majors, AAA, low-A etc had a competition for a championship that was separate from their regular playoffs. Relegation is another aspect of football that gets discussed in relation to baseball. In fact there is some history to this here Promotion and relegation#Early baseball leagues in the United States. The business end of baseball makes this untenable but it sure would add excitement to the end of the season if the last place teams in the AL and NL faced the prospect of being dropped to AAA the next year. As to your suggestion for an article I would think there would be reliable sourcing out there for one. It is just a matter of finding an editor interested enough to do the work. During the early years, several teams came and went between minor and major: Indianapolis, Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Toledo, etc. Once the American League was established, that practice came to an end. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 19:17, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
