July 21[edit]

arsenio hall[edit]

when people have asked him why he's been out of TV for so long, he always says he's been busy raising a child. i talked with him at the carwash (yes, the carwash!), and he said the same thing. however, in your info about him, you never mention any marriages or children of his - ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.143.240.191 (talk) 01:17, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because no one as gotten around to adding it or there is no reliable source for it?--Canoe1967 (talk) 01:43, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There's always the possibility that he was smart with his money and doesn't need to work. And for whatever reason, "raising a child" sounds better to him than something else. Dismas|(talk) 01:59, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've dug something up chaps - will add it to the article. Quintessential British Gentleman (talk) 02:46, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fom Clancy's latest book[edit]

Why has Clancy's - Search and Destroy, not been released? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.140.201.221 (talk) 11:16, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's Search and Destroy (novel) by Tom Clancy. My web searches only found others asking why the release was cancelled. Apparently the author and publisher haven't explained it so I guess there is a problem they want to keep from the public. PrimeHunter (talk) 12:38, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It was found and destroyed? Clarityfiend (talk) 20:47, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cedric Benson's Daughter[edit]

why dont does Wikipdia not talk about Cedric Myron Benson's daughter Nadine Benson in his wkikipedia page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maliah88 (talkcontribs) 16:52, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I added a wikilink which I presume is correct. Why do you think we should have mention of someone who you claim is his daughter in an article about him? --TammyMoet (talk) 17:52, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We could mention that he has one. We often do at least that, if someone has a kid. Does the OP have a reliable source for the existence of a daughter? Dismas|(talk) 17:55, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't the place, folks. Talk:Cedric Benson is where this discussion should be held. Look at the question: It wasn't asking for some information about Benson's daughter; it was wondering why our article on Benson doesn't include information about his daughter, and that's for the article's authors to be concerned with, not for us to be commenting on.
Is it my imagination, or are we getting a lot of questions lately asking why a specific WP article is deficient in some perceived way? I wonder why we've become the de facto clearing house for all issues anywhere on Wikipedia, and why people wouldn't just take up their concerns directly with the other authors of the article in question, on the relevant talk page, which is there for exactly such a purpose. -- ♬ Jack of Oz[your turn] 22:11, 21 July 2012 (UTC) [reply]
I was just thinking the same thing. Maybe we need to change something in the page layout to point more clearly to the Talk page for amendments? --TammyMoet (talk) 08:22, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
