"Mating" and "Marriage" are not remotely the same thing. Unless a suitable target can be identified, this should be deleted. 192.76.8.66 (talk) 22:24, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Could just as easily redirect to Durham,_North_Carolina#Government. I don't think that a redirect to the former English city is warranted here, though I do wonder if a dab is appropriate for something like this. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 02:52, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Durham City Council is ambiguous even in England and could refer to:

This redirect was originally tagged as CSD G3 vandalism. I don't see how it's vandalism but I also don't understand how it is a valid name for this historic person. I did a search for "Elizabeth Ambatukam Siddall" and got no results. Liz Read! Talk! 02:20, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, salt, block pure vandalism, search for Ambatukam. —DIYeditor (talk) 02:28, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I helped bring this the Elizabeth Siddall article to Good Article status & have over 250 edits on the article. I have never encountered the string "Elizabeth Ambatukam Siddall" in any source. I think it is utter nonsense. Peaceray (talk) 02:54, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete there is no such thing as "Elizabeth Ambatukam Siddall", the vandal added "ambatukam" there (which is euphemism for "i am about to cum (semen)") as a joke it seems like. It has no place in an encyclopedia, unless proven otherwise.
Cactus Ronin (talk) 03:11, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation, Cactus Ronin. No wonder this name didn't pop up in any of my searches. I'd delete this redirect myself but I already nominated it so that makes me involved. Liz Read! Talk! 18:55, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Taivorist commented in Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 June 15#Elizabeth Ambatukam Eleanor Siddall I created the redirect, because at that time Ambatukam was in the article and the article itself was on main page in "Did you know ..." section. If I cannot trust main page articles, what can I trust? You see, correct answer is "you cannot trust anything in Wikipedia." I remember, that I was surprised, because this is not English name, but actually I do not know, is the name correct or not. Do as you want, but I do not feel myself guilty. I will also note that "Ambatukam" was introduced with this edit & deleted 2 hours & 20 minutes later with this edit.
@Taivorist: I can see by your contributions that you do a lot of good work with redirects, but I ask you to consider that anything that has been listed at "Did you know ..." is highly prone to vandalism. If you are not certain about the proper subject name, I would ask you to wait 24 hours & to use the "Did you know archive" (WP:DYKA) at Wikipedia:Recent additions. It is likely that most vandalism will be corrected by then. Peaceray (talk) 03:44, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Could also point to Curious George (film), a 2006 film in which he voiced a character, and where this pointed before yesterday. In any case, I don't think redirecting this to any particular film makes sense (there does not seem to be one film he's particularly known for), and it may well be better to leave this a redlink than to pick-and-choose. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 02:15, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom, and since no plausible target for this exists. CycloneYoris talk! 00:02, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
