Funny jokes[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. While it was asserted that the redirect is harmless, arguments to the contrary were not rebutted and deletion enjoys a numerical advantage. signed, Rosguill talk 23:53, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unplausible search term. While it may look like it was expanded to an article in 2008 with a string of edits, the article was actually an unencyclopedic joke repository ("Welcome to the Funny Jokes page on Wikipedia. There are blond jokes, kids jokes, yo mama jokes, and many others here. Feel free to submit your own jokes by editing a category and signing it."), so there's no history to keep. • Delete. No such list at target, and such a list should not exist anyways since it's a matter of perspective if any joke is funny or not. Steel1943 (talk) 22:09, 9 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Seems plausible and harmless. Alextejthompson (Ping me or leave a message on my talk page) 18:31, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ca's comment seemed to explain how these redirects are not "harmless" due to potentially unnecessary and/or inaccurate adjectives being used in the search for the target subject. This seems to also go against plausibility since a person's use of an adjective to describe any subject is perception/opinion, which tends to differ from one person to another. Steel1943 (talk) 00:42, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak delete seems implausible. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:20, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Also note that the singular Funny joke has been deleted under G1 and G10 in 2006 and 2007. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:22, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. The singular doesn't exist and since "A joke is a display of humour" then funny appears to be a redundant adjective. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 21:04, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The above is preserved as an archive of the discussion. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review).
