This redirect was previously nominated back in February 2021. However, the redirect was not tagged, and the discussion was relisted but never transcluded to its corresponding log page (likely due to a glitch caused by the XfD closer) and thus the discussion was lost and never closed. Per Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 August 12#B.A., all of these redirects to degrees are in question. However, this one was overlooked in that nomination, and the addition of parentheses is perplexing to me. I think it should be outright deleted. BD2412 T 20:05, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This actor has appeared in multiple films and TV programmes, so the redirect is inappropriate. In addition to Zoey 101, he appears in (among others) Zoey 102, Devious Maids, The Last of Robin Hood, and the Family Guy episode "Road to Europe". I have no opinion on whether he warrants an article, but if he doesn't, the page should remain a redlink. Josh Milburn (talk) 21:37, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. This redirect has gotten a ton of views in the last 30 days (over 20,000), and is likely overlinked right now, which is just as likely to cause confusion as the redirect’s existence for use in search. Without knowing all the rules around redirects or making a comment on whether he warrants an article, my thought is that minimizing links to this page and retargeting to List of Zoey 101 characters is a potential solution, as this page provides information on the actor’s most well-known character and a redirect would lead users directly to this information, rather than the current redirect which forces another click to get there.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Michaelwallace22 (talk • contribs) 01:04, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Sean Flynn This could also refer to Sean Flynn (photojournalist) who was an actor for a time, although he was better known as a photojournalist. The line *Sean Flynn (actor), American actor on Sean Flynn should be changed to something along the lines of *Sean Flynn (actor, born XXXX), American actor known for Zoey 101 which would then create a way for him to be linked and have it at the DAB page in compliance with WP:DABRL. I put born XXXX as I couldn't find a WP:RS for his birth year, so a different disambiguator might be desired. TartarTorte 16:51, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Restore article. It was deleted via WP:PROD back in 2017 and he has since become more notable. It was a typical barely-notable actor bio with 3,648 bytes. A few sentences of prose, a list of credits, and three sources (none of which are that great, including seanflynn.org). No mention in article the actual scientific name of the Olm is Proteus anguinus and not Proteus bavaricus Qwv (talk) 12:22, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like an extinct species in the genus Proteus. ([1]) And since there is only one extant species in Proteus, the genus is covered at Olm. I'll see if I can draft an article. Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 12:59, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Far be it from me to wave the consistency flag, but, Edward-Woodrow, you are actually going against the notability guidelines for paleo-species here :) Individual paleo-species do not get separate articles unless there is an unusual amount to say about them; rather they are covered at the genus level (which in this case also covers the only extant species). This goes double for dubious classifications, as this seems to be acc. to the source. Further, I question the wisdom of creating some kind of weird hybrid redirect-article mutant at the redirect while this is being discussed.
