Niggaracci[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. History of Niggaracci can be restored upon request. Legoktm (talk) 06:40, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target, delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 16:48, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is an alias used in his capacity as a producer, eg: on The Big Squeeze. For all such credits, see here. I've added it to the list of aliases at the target page. - Forty.4 (talk) 23:11, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Needs a source. Ibadibam (talk) 19:33, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The "cheap” argument is completely irrelevant when a redirect is not mentioned at target and therefore becomes unhelpful for the casual reader. CycloneYoris talk! 23:53, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. No point in keeping if it's not mentioned at target. N.b. I removed the mention that was added since it was unsourced. CycloneYoris talk! 23:43, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment was able to find this from Vibe: Gangbangin 101, produced by newcomer Terrence Martin and Snoop SU himself, collectively known as Niggaracci [1], though for some reason the actual Google Books snippet scan shows up as blank. Not sure whose article it should go on (I'm assuming that "Terrence Martin" in that quote is a typo for Terrace Martin). 61.239.39.90 (talk) 06:17, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Given WP:BAND#6, could an article be made about the duo? — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 16:21, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The duo are producers, not musicians, in this capacity. -- Tavix (talk) 18:22, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: There has been some discussion about an article on this topic. There also happens to be an expired PROD under the redirect. I went ahead and restored the edit history so non-admins can get a sense for what an article may look like and decide accordingly. (I am neutral about the article, so do not take this as me objecting to the PROD).
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, -- Tavix (talk) 18:16, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note Similar redirects also exist: Niggarachi and Niggaraci. -- Tavix (talk) 18:20, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So I guess that will cause a fourth relist as we bundle those two other discovered redirects? — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 07:24, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see why that would be necessary. If Niggaracci is restored, they should be retargeted. If this is deleted, the others should also be deleted. If you think they should be explicitly listed, that can be done at any time (...like now). -- Tavix (talk) 18:48, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ultimately, I would delete all to encourage article creation for the duo. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 06:59, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Deletion to encourage article creation is pretty much a nonsense argument when there is an article on the subject in the redirect history. -- Tavix (talk) 22:15, 18 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Forgot the article did exist. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 00:04, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reverting to the restored version will not survive AfD as there are no references. Maybe move the restored revisions to Draft:Niggaracci and delete the redirects. Jay 💬 09:41, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Russia cancelled[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. In addition to having a solid 3/4 of !votes, the substantive arguments raised by the nominator were not rebutted by either of the non-delete arguments, so I see no basis to weight the minority positions more heavily when closing this discussion. signed, Rosguill talk 21:23, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Vague terms, not found specifically in the article. Don't see any evidence of "Russia cancelled" in use, except for one YouTube video. "Cancellation of Russia" shows up a few times, but it refers to a general rejection of Russian - vandalizing Russian restaurants in Manhattan for instance, or stripping Putin of "his honorary taekwondo black belt". These are not the formal sanctions discussed in the target. I haven't found a better target. 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine reactions and Government and intergovernmental reactions to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Non-government reactions to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine could all be considered aspects of "Cancelling Russia".MB 01:17, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Purely laughable to suggest a country can be "canceled". Clearly the person who wrote that hasn't been outside of their Twitter bubble. MightyArms (talk) 14:24, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Lots of laughable things have Wikipedia articles. Putin and Rowling had a spat about the alleged cancellation of Russia, correct User:MightyArms? So I don’t see the problem redirecting to Political_views_of_J._K._Rowling#Ukraine. Unless we want to cancel the alleged cancellation! Anythingyouwant (talk) 02:52, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete How does a website cancel the biggest country in the world? ~~ lol1VNIO (I made a mistake? talk to me) 21:48, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep obviously lots of int. brands have been ostracising Russian Federation, ie. "cancelling" it in slang terms. Vs6507 13:53, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Focus[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Focus. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 04:31, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There's nothing in this article that seems related to the redirect at all. It seems appropriate to delete. Vlcice (talk) 04:28, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to the disambig at Focus where the band and at least some of the magazines are plausibly referred to as "The Focus". My best guess is that this redirect seems related to Anti-Nazi Council, sometimes known as "The Focus Group" and maybe "The Focus" but as the latter is not mentioned in the article I've left it off the dab page (if someone does add it to the article is should be added to the dab too). Researching this has led me to create Focus Group (disambiguation) (which could do with some eyes) that does list the Anti-Nazi Council and is linked in a see also at the Focus dab page. Thryduulf (talk) 09:59, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Retargeting to Focus makes sense to me; it seems plausible someone might look those up under this name. I think you're correct that the redirect was created because of the conspiracy theory. I don't know what the Churchill article looked like in 2012, but it certainly doesn't mention it today. Vlcice (talk) 21:13, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
At Focus disambig page, I just added this: Focus in Defence of Freedom and Peace also called Focus Group, included Churchill and other anti-Nazis”. “Anti-Nazi Council”, for reasons explained at the disambiguation talk page.[2] Anythingyouwant (talk) 17:47, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Focus per the above. A weak association at best with the current target, so no primary topic for the term. Mdewman6 (talk) 22:05, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Focus per the above. If “The Focus” refers to the Anti-Nazi Council then that will be found at this proposed target. If it refers instead to other use of the word “focus” then that will be found at the proposed target as well. Anythingyouwant (talk) 18:51, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
