Nilab River[edit]

The result of the discussion was speedy keep. Withdrawn by nominator as concerns have been fully addressed. signed, Rosguill talk 00:43, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find any evidence in reliable sources that "Nilab" is an alternative name for the Indus. Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 18:26, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - This might be an archaic name? There's mention here and a few other places in terms of historical documents. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 21:46, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I've added a cited mention of the Nilab in the etymology section of the article --Lenticel (talk) 00:58, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dominion of Barbados[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Dominion#Newly independent territories sometimes referred to as Dominions. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 01:38, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This should be deleted; Barbados was never a Dominion (see Dominion#List of Dominions). The creator has recently been indefinitely blocked and a number of other hoax items deleted. Andrew Gray (talk) 22:07, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak keep - Redirects don't need to be correct. Given that this term was applied to many independent Commonwealth states, and was also used to refer to the Queen's (or King's) realm in general, I think this is a plausible search term. It may be better to target to somewhere specifically discussing the official status of Barbados at various points in history but I'm not sure where (if anywhere) that would be. A7V2 (talk) 23:47, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Struck !vote, switching to retarget, see below. A7V2 (talk) 03:54, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Monarchy of Barbados. CMD (talk) 07:50, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Dominion#Newly independent territories sometimes referred to as Dominions (which clarifies what "Dominion" actually meant in law as well as how some people erroneously used the term after it stopped having any legal meaning) and tag as {{R from incorrect name}}. I don't think it's a good idea to point to a target which does not clarify that "Dominion of Barbados" was never the real name of Barbados at any stage. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 09:43, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sealion[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Sea lion. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 01:39, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing as there is a page Sea lion, and the most dominant use of this search term is going to be for the aquatic creature that has a space in its name, I think that it makes more sense to retarget the redirect to Sea lion rather than have it point to a disambiguation page. — Ⓜ️hawk10 (talk) 21:57, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Sea lion as {{R from incorrect spacing}} per nom. Mdewman6 (talk) 22:16, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Although, Sealion is the name of several ships, partially disambiguated at the target, so a {{R from short name}} arguably might take precedence over a misspelling, but I think it probably will help more users targeting the primary topic. Mdewman6 (talk) 22:20, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Sea lion as the primary topic. The hatnote is enough for those looking for other topics. A7V2 (talk) 23:49, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Sea lion per the above. BD2412 T 01:18, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:DETERMINEPRIMARY. Google Books and Google News hits for "sealion" without a space are overwhelmingly not about the animal, thus the animal cannot be the WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT here; mostly I see Operation Sealion or various marine vessels named Sealion. Additionally, correct spellings should take precedence over incorrect spellings and the dab page has multiple topics which (unlike the animal) are correctly spelled as "sealion" without a space. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 06:44, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: Two of the linked articles on the WP:DAB are spelled Sealion without a space, which makes me thing it makes sense to target the disambiguation. TartarTorte 15:35, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - I feel that the distinction between "Sea lion" and "Sealion" is worth taking into account here. Let's leave it be. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 17:43, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Sea lion as PT. WP:SMALLDIFFS says get to the intended target swiftly as possible. I think it is likely that many people would not know if the name of the mammal had a space or not, and the dab is just one click away for anyone who was looking for something else. MB 20:19, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to sea lion. Clear primary topic for both terms. —Xezbeth (talk) 07:45, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Inducement rule is not a primary topic for "inducement", a generic term for incentives including but not limited to bribery. What's the best target? Certes (talk) 12:56, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - Inducement as a concept is such a broad thing that I'd rather we just let people search. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 21:43, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as vague, though I suppose a redirect to Wiktionary (which also shows a third sense in shipping) is also an option. eviolite (talk) 23:02, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
