November 6[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on November 6, 2021.
Christopher Ciccone[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was retarget to Life with My Sister Madonna. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 04:27, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
The former article was redirected to the current target per 2016 AFD discussion. At the time, "Life with My Sister Madonna" was a redirect, so redirecting the person to the book wasn't possible. Now the redirect page about the book has become an article, so the redirect page about Madonna's brother Christopher should be redirected to the book. George Ho (talk) 21:56, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Support. Though the redirect subject is mentioned in both articles, readers will clearly learn more about him from the article on the book he wrote (and its impact on his life and relationships). BD2412 T 05:55, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Retarget to Life with My Sister Madonna: This is what the average searcher would be looking for. ―Susmuffin Talk 01:00, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
- Retarget to Life with My Sister Madonna. It seems this would have been a perfectly fine change to have boldly made.--John Cline (talk) 08:41, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

Kildonan, Skye[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
Redirects to what seems to be a different location's page, which no mention of the relation of Kildonan to that page. Could not find sources indicating their relationship. Rusalkii (talk) 19:01, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Keep They are right next to each other geographically. scope_creepTalk 19:14, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Delete They are right next to each other [1], but that's no reason at all to point one to the other. They are not the same place. We don't redirect place A to place B except where place A is within place B. Kildonan is not within nor is it part of Flashader. --Tagishsimon (talk) 01:09, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- Delete as misleading. It's probably better to create an article for this place instead. --Lenticel (talk) 03:21, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- Delete - These are two different places which happen to be close to each other geographically. There's no other connection between the two, so redirecting one to another would be wrong. — curiousGolden call me maybe? 10:11, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

- Draft:Vlach-Bulgarian royal charters → Vlach–Bulgarian royal charters (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Redirect from draftspace to mainspace. Unnecessary. Super Ψ Dro 10:38, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Keep per WP:RDRAFT. Thryduulf (talk) 12:08, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Question: The target has been redirected to Medieval Bulgarian royal charters, but I fail to see a mention there. What is the relationship here and how can that be addressed? -- Tavix (talk) 17:51, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Medieval Bulgarian royal charters is just a renamed version of Vlach-Bulgarian royal charters; the page history tells all. Curbon7 (talk) 02:17, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- So are they synonymous? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the term Vlach-Bulgarian. -- Tavix (talk) 21:52, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

An editor tagged this for speedy deletion, explaining that this was Indonesian slang for "penis". This isn't a valid CSD criteria but I thought I'd send it to RFD to see if this was a valid argument for deletion. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 05:19, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

- Retarget to Indonesian slang where it is mentioned. --Lenticel (talk) 03:07, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- It's also covered at Comparison of Indonesian and Standard Malay, so I don't know if retargeting would be the best option. - Eureka Lott 01:25, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- IMO Comparison of Indonesian and Standard Malay only really makes sense as a redirect target for words which are actually discussed as having different meanings in the two languages, not for words which are peripherally mentioned as synonyms of each other. This word comes from Javanese, and IMO doesn't really exist in Malay (it's in Kamus Dewan [2], but still I think people regard it as an Indonesian word only.) So if we were to retarget then I think Indonesian slang would make more sense. (Emphasis on the "if" since for now I am neutral between retargetting & deleting.) 61.239.39.90 (talk) 01:55, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- My concern on Comparison of Indonesian and Standard Malay is that kontol isn't compared to other Malay terms unlike say "Zakar". I think the retarget to Indonesian slang would make more sense to our readers as it is mentioned on its own without an expectation to compare it to a non-existing Malay counterpart. PS: It's funny that I understand some of these words. Guess Filipino and these two languages are close cousins. --Lenticel (talk) 03:37, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- Delete: There is no need to have a non-English redirect for "penis". ―Susmuffin Talk 01:03, 10 November 2021 (UTC)

- Mole (character) → The Mole (Krtek) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete, there are multiple characters from various works of fiction named 'Mole', such as The Wind in the Willows's Mole. This redirect falsely implies that there is only one fictional character named Mole. (JayPlaysStuff | talk to me | What I've been up to) 01:50, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Retarget to Mole#Arts and entertainment as an {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}, where several such characters are mentioned. I second the nom's comment about the redirect, while it may've been the original title of the target until Psychonaut moved it back in 2006, it doesn't really warrant people going to the page via the redirect and potentially experiencing WP:ASTONISHment. Regards, SONIC678 02:12, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Retarget per Sonic678. Thryduulf (talk) 12:11, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Retarget per the above. The term could also be used to describe any character who is a mole, either in the animal sense or in the espionage sense. BD2412 T 05:59, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Retarget to Mole#Arts and entertainment per Sonic678. --Lenticel (talk) 03:44, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

Alingsås FC is a separate club, only having women's teams. This redirect to the men's team might thus confuse. Jonteemil (talk) 01:28, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

- Delete seems to be the main company's R&D branch according to my search. Anyways, I think it's an obscure search term for the main company's article.--Lenticel (talk) 03:28, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
