The result of the discussion was speedy delete per author request. Graham87 04:18, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Completely pointless soft redirect. Wikipedia's search already lists results from Wiktionary. This is obscure, and there's no benefit to keeping this. To the closer, this had been full-create protected prior to recreation (I believe due to an LTA issue), so if deleted, that should probably be reinstated. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 22:15, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, if it already lists results from Wiktionary, then using your logic, all soft redirects could be deleted. And the page is already extended-confirmed protected to prevent LTA. If you want the page to be fully protected, you can make a request at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. --Gioguch (talk) 23:31, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As a side note, I do think that (most) Wikitionary soft redirects should be deleted, but that's a conversation for another day. This particular soft redirect is especially inane, creating an entry for an obscure, barely-attested slang term. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 23:53, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you now. I would like the page to be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gioguch (talkcontribs) 02:27, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Post-closing comment, for the record: Because this information was in a now-deleted edidt summary, I think it's worth noting that I created this per an emailed request by Gioguch ... who now wants it deleted, so I re-deleted it and re-salted the page. Any more actions on this page should be taken with administrative consensus. Graham87 04:24, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Page move and retarget. signed, Rosguill talk 18:46, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This was originally an article for an American football team in Sheffield and has since been redirected to the basketball team. Should the basketball team become the primary topic, and history removed for the American football team? AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 21:12, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was procedural close. All comments were made by a banned user (SimonTrew). -- Tavix (talk) 00:06, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Procedural nom for discussion. Black and orange targets as I stated, but Black and Orange targets Clifton Heights Orange & Black. I have probably got that somehow the wrong way around, I am listing here so that it gets wider discussion. I dont't want anything to be deleted etc etc but that seems like stretching WP:SMALLDETAILS to me. To declare, myself, another good-faith editor User:Blablubbs have been trying to work out whether they are the "Orange and Black" or the "Black and Orange", sources are about fifty-fifty. What they are defenitely not, the football team, are widespread African insects. 84.236.27.182 (talk) 08:23, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There are fifteen redirects to the defunct 1930s football team: Black and Orange, Orange & Black, etc etc etc (deliberately not linking here to make it more of a muddle) The Black and Orange, The Orange & Black, The Black & Orange and so on. A bit heavy and WP:THE - as far as I see it, any time a reader types in "Orange and Black" they get to see what the Clifton Heights American football team did. There are many creatures that are orange and black, indeed many other things too. That is why we have wasps and Tony the Tiger and tiger moths etc etc. My view is that this one is just blocking people trying to find what they're looking for... which is probably not a defunct American football club from the depression era. 84.236.27.182 (talk) 08:36, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't want to add to the confustion, but since my IP changes regularly, I want to declare that I am the I who wrote this, and finally have bothered to create an account. I really rather preferred being an IP ed. MagyarLinguist (talk) 15:48, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
