The result of the discussion was stubify. I don't know how much I can do on that front, but I can revert to the pre-redirect version identified by Thryduulf and at least remove the language that it's forthcoming in 2017! --BDD (talk) 18:12, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate redirect - the game is available on several platforms, including PS4, so it makes no sense to redirect it to the list for a single platform. ♠PMC(talk) 22:51, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete it was also on Steam and the redirect could imply that the game was a PS4 exclusive.--76.67.169.43 (talk) 23:01, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • The topic is independently notable with plenty of reviews from major press. Not sure how that works with RfD (no opinion on the redirect target) but stubify seems like the best conclusion here. (not watching, please {{ping}}) czar 00:02, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oh yeah I have no objection to anyone actually turning it into an article instead of deleting the redirect, I just think the redirect target isn't suitable and to be honest I don't want to write the article myself so I think redlinking it is the best way to encourage it. ♠PMC(talk) 01:32, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete to encourage article creation per Czar. Thryduulf (talk) 00:06, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Stubify per Czar, with this being a decent start once updated. -- Tavix (talk) 01:41, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 18:06, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - unlikely search target and no such list on target page. This redirect's history contains almost nothing, all history info is located at Airship (Final Fantasy). ZXCVBNM (TALK) 20:53, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete 1 and 2 (List of...) because there is no list. Keep 3 and 4 because there's no reason to delete: they are entirely reasonable search terms and the target contains information about them. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:56, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Shhhnotsoloud: The article's sole mention of airships is that "A recurring means of travel are airships, which are often unlocked for players fairly late in the game". If someone was legitimately searching for "Final Fantasy airships", being directed here would leave them wanting. Meanwhile, an actual search would bring up every mention of an airship in FF games - far more useful information. It is more unhelpful than helpful for navigation.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 16:40, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Could barely find any source online regarding this title but it seems that "Twilight of the Gods" might have been a working title. However, no source uses "Twilight (Of the Gods)" when talking about this. Such redirects are bad as evidenced by the usage at Twilight of the Gods, which presents false information that is hard to spot. Gonnym (talk) 19:40, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RFD#DELETE reason 3: redirect is useless and potentially offensive funplussmart (talk) 19:06, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment (as creator of the redirect): I will just note that the term is discussed in (though admittedly never used by) a variety of reliable sources ([2], [3], [4], [5], [6],[7], etc). I will also point to the WP:RNEUTRAL guideline. WanderingWanda (talk) 19:44, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - the term is an insult and I see no encyclopedic value in using it on WP. MartinezMD (talk) 19:53, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete for the reasons listed by proposer. Seems to be a purely pejorative redirect, of a term that would never be considered appropriate to mention in the article it redirects to. While I don't deny that the term sees use, I don't believe it warrants inclusion outside the commonly used criteria in WP:RNEUTRAL. I don't think enough individuals will come searching WP for "boomer remover" intending to be redirected to "COVID-19" to justify inclusion. Bakkster Man (talk) 19:54, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete for the reasons above. And it's not mentioned at the target, so we have nothing about it anyway. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:59, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 20:56, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Unlikely search term, and other reasons cited above. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 22:50, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Soft redirect with such a prevalence in reliable sources it's not surprising that this is a well used search term (over 60 hits in the last 2 months). We don't have a mention anywhere on Wikipedia but there is an entry at wikt:boomer remover which we should point people to. Thryduulf (talk) 23:54, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Offensive and just a humorous term. Not something that belongs in an encyclopedia. --IWI (talk) 16:39, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Soft redirect to Wiktionary per Thryduulf. Seventyfiveyears (talk) 12:53, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I admit I chortled but I don't think this specifically describes coronavirus disease 2019. Going by this it seems heart disease and cancer are much more likely to be boomer removers. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 20:57, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Soft redirecting to Wiktionary seems like a reasonable idea. WanderingWanda (talk) 22:44, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - No reason to soft redirect all slang terms. We're not Urban Dictionary. Hog Farm Bacon 14:45, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was speedy swap with Morristown metropolitan area, Tennessee. I've solved the issue as requested by AppalachianCentrist at WP:RM/TR. (non-admin closure)Nnadigoodluck 23:33, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No need for special emphasis on state of metro area. Knoxville, Nashville, and Chattanooga all have the principal city name only. This city is the largest with the name of Morristown. This page should be deleted to make way for move from Morristown metropolitan area, Tennessee AppalachianCentrist (talk) 18:58, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target. Redirecting an upcoming film to one of its starring actors is not rarely very informative even when there is content at the target. I think that this redirect should be deleted for now. signed, Rosguill talk 16:17, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

Non-neutral redirect from a name not mentioned at target. 0 pageviews in the last 90 days. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 16:07, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete useless disparagement redirect. funplussmart (talk) 19:08, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per my arguments in the last RfD. It does get uses, but infrequently and in batches (possibly depending what is happening in the world at the time?). Thryduulf (talk) 23:59, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak delete - Turning up precious little usage of this term in what are unambigously RS-es, and not much more in non-RS sources. Looks like a novel or obscure name for the target. Hog Farm Bacon 02:36, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The low usage is persuasive, and this doesn't seem like the sort of term we'd ever have an encyclopedic explanation of. It seems pretty implausible that someone familiar with the term wouldn't be able to find Fox News on its own anyway. --BDD (talk) 17:14, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect is just a capitalization difference, so the redirect is not needed Shadowrvn728 (talk) 15:58, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as 100% harmless. This doesn't meet any of the WP:RFD#DELETE criteria. Note: I just tagged it as a {{r from move}} and {{r from other capitalization}}. - Eureka Lott 18:18, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Completely plausible and harmless. CycloneYoris talk! 20:40, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep R from other capitalization is a legitimate reason for a redirect.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 21:17, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per everyone above, this redirect is unambiguous. It might seem unnecessary, but it's still clear in what it's referring to. It seems we have a SNOWdrift coming our way. Regards, SONIC678 00:10, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Her research is mentioned in the article, but I don't think that's enough to redirect her. Scholars usually get their own articles, edge cases can get redirects to a theory if it is the only thing they are known for, but collaborative consumption is a topic discussed by many, she is hardly the topmost authority in the field. The odds are decent she is notable anyway, but until someone stubs an article, per WP:RED, this should be, well, red, rather than redirecting to an article she is simply cited in.
