Redirect target is too broad. Only a tiny proportion of Portal:United States is relevant to New Mexico. All other redirects from deleted US state portals were either speedy-deleted by their creator User:Buaidh or deleted at WP:RFD 2019 July 29. Pinging the creator of this redirect, @Northamerica1000. C33H35N3O4 was created by mistake: formula of Penochalasin A is C32H35N3O3. I have not found molecule in enWiki with formula C33H35N3O4. I propose to delete it. (C32H35N3O3 is in the list of redirs to create by bot so I didn't create it manually.) Gyimhu (talk) 20:17, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Windowed mode[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Window (computing). — JJMC89(T·C) 04:12, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Target article doesn't say anything about windowed mode, nor does the previous target Fullscreen. If someone wanted to write about the subject, they should probably do so in a new article about fullscreen vs. windowed mode (the Fullscreen page is a disambiguation). Until then, the redirect should be deleted. Katimpe (talk) 19:46, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Window (computing) - seems to be the most fitting topic. –Sonicwave talk 21:43, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Window (computing): Please note that this is one of the term that falls into the scope of "not everything needs to be Wikilinked". But it might be helpful when someone searches Wikipedia. Flowing dreams (talk) 06:45, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not familiar with the English Wikipedia policy on redirects, but I'd like to point out that Window (computing) doesn't tell the reader what windowed mode is, either. --Katimpe (talk) 19:35, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This would appear to be an error. The only mention of Kangchenjunga in the article is in the See also section, as Kangchenjunga is apparently the name of the 3rd tallest mountain in the world (K2 being the second tallest). signed, Rosguill talk 18:38, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is the katakana for "Aaron". A fictional character that isn't even called Aaron in English cannot be a suitable target. Since Aaron isn't a Japanese name, this should just be deleted. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:27, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep The article claims that Auron is called アーロン in Japanese. As far as I can tell, there is nothing else mentioned on enwiki that is called simply アーロン. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 09:44, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There are about 2000 Aaron articles, take your pick. See Aaron Keller for an example. —Xezbeth (talk) 10:59, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: The usual rendering of the name "Aaron" in Japanese is as "アロン", not "アーロン". No doubt that's why the character's name was rendered differently in English; it's meant to be different. Regardless, I have no strong opinion on whether this redirect ought to exist. 50.248.234.77 (talk) 11:10, 17 August 2019 (UTC
  • Delete No evidence that a English language speaker looking up the character known as Auron in the West would type the Japanese spelling of Aaron especially since the character isn’t even called Arron in English language media. This is also similar to recent cases where romanized versions of Japanese character names were deleted. Please look up Kuraudo and Fokkusu for more info. Finally, I would oppose retargeting to Aaron (disambiguation) Per WP:FORRED.--64.229.166.98 (talk) 16:37, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. This is a Japanese game, so on principle, it's fine to have redirects from the Japanese names of the characters. And if this indeed is the Japanese name of a character, it's appropriate to have it redirect to the section on the character. The character's name in English is irrelevant: since he's called this in Japanese, it should redirect here. Nyttend (talk) 17:09, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Nyttend signed, Rosguill talk 18:09, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Then perhaps you can answer why it should redirect there and not to List of One Piece characters#Arlong, which uses the exact same katakana. It is too vague. —Xezbeth (talk) 20:20, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • By that notion, we should delete Georgia or Galicia or George Bush. When a title would be a good redirect to more than one place, the solution is disambiguation, not deletion. Nyttend (talk) 23:48, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
