I'm not aware of any evidence that Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe is known by the backwards version of his name ... nor that he is from Yorkshire, or has flown on Yorkshire Airlines.
Note that this redirect is the only edit by User:Ebagum. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:57, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. My first inclination was to retarget to the page that dealt with Yorkshire dialect or phrases, but as far as I can tell we don't have one that includes "ee bah gum" (by any reasonable spelling). A google search for ebagum -mugabe site:en.wikipedia.org finds Languages of Northern Ireland but I can't figure out why - the phrase doesn't appear anywhere in the current version of the article, nor does it appear to have been removed recently. So, unless anyone would like to write an article to which we can target this or explain it's significance regarding languages in Northern Ireland, I think it needs to be deleted for lack of a suitable target. • Delete - Given the background here, I think this is just some kind of a joke. We should just be rid of this. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 14:20, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. These are Neelix redirects targeted at something that I think has only tangential relevance - the Ruba'i is a form of verse originating in Persia that consists of four lines. Arbaa and Arba'a are, I think, just transliterations of the Arabic أَرْبَعَة meaning "four" and appear in the current article only as a footnote about the etymology of the word (a borrowing from Arabic into Persian). Retargetting to 4 (number) is not suitable per WP:FORRED. There are quite a few hits when searching for both these terms on Wikipedia, but all seem to be just partial title matches - RC Arbaâ, an Algerian football club, being a possible exception. Peter Moffett[edit]

The result of the discussion was move Peter Moffett (disambiguation) to Peter Moffett. -- Tavix (talk) 20:41, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect to Peter Davison or else delete per WP:RFD#DELETE reason #2 (confusion)as per my BOLD solution below. Peter Moffett (as used here) is the name of a non WP:N drummer but it is also the birth-name of well-known UK actor Peter Davison. The creator of this redirect was not notified since they apparently abandoned ship about 3 years ago. Koala Tea Of Mercy (KTOM's Articulations & Invigilations) 10:55, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Both as the nom and because WP does not implement a similar-sounding name protocol I have taken the liberty to be WP:BOLD and take the following actions:

  1. Created Peter Moffett (disambiguation) using a variation of the normal DAB page to cover this circumstance.
  2. Created Peter Moffat (disambiguation) and redirected to #1 above.
  3. Created Peter Moffatt (disambiguation) and redirected to #1 above.
  4. Added {{other people|Peter Moffett}} to top of Peter Davison.
  5. Added {{other people|Peter Moffat}} to top of Peter Moffat.
  6. Added {{other people|Peter Moffatt}} to top of Peter Moffatt.

At this point I am going to change my recommendation and suggest that the redirect for Peter Moffett be targeted to Peter Moffett (disambiguation). Any objections or concerns with this solution? Koala Tea Of Mercy (KTOM's Articulations & Invigilations) 13:22, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I disagree with that solution as the disambig page is just two people at most, one of whom is the primary topic, and two see-alsos. Hatnotes cover things well here imo. Thryduulf (talk) 14:31, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • Well it looks like Boleyn and KGirlTrucker81 solved the problem by finding an excellent source that demonstrates a good likelyhood that WP:Notability can be established and used it to create a stub article for Peter Moffett (drummer) so now there are a total of four articles for people with highly similar names. At this point I think the right solution is to definitely retarget Peter Moffett for the DAB page.
P.S. You should be aware that the {{other people}} template is a hatnote itself. See WP:Hatnote#Other people. Koala Tea Of Mercy (KTOM's Articulations & Invigilations) 18:48, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
