Delete per WP:RFD#D8 and WP:RFOREIGN. American football doesn't have any affinity with the French language. -- Tavix (talk) 22:29, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I would say affinity would be low in French, but in Louisiana, it would just be "football", and half the time in Quebec, it would be "football" instead of américain, due to lumping of American and Canadian -- 67.70.32.190 (talk) 04:42, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is another WP:NOTFAQ question that shouldn't exist. Someone searching for this is going to have a bad time because it implies that one person "made" football (which code?) when that obviously isn't the case. -- Tavix (talk) 22:08, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not seeing reliable sources saying that "Amball" is a nickname or alternative name for "American football." It certainly isn't listed under American football#Etymology and names. -- Tavix (talk) 22:02, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This a redirect from the French name to English. However, I'm not aware of France having any particular affinity to sundials. Compassionate727 (talk) 19:35, 15 July 2015 (UTC) DARC12345:I have come across pages that refer to Cadran Soaire, but I am unawair of how many there are in wikipedia. I felt it expediant to create a redirect stub so as to catch all the links that use the term rather than try to find them all.[reply]

DJ Mary[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. The page was kept as a redirect as a result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DJ Mary, but since all mention of DJ Mary has been removed from Wikipedia after a series of mergers, it is reasonable to conclude that no content from this page has persisted, and so the page history can be deleted. Deryck C. 09:17, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

(Last Pokémon redirect from me today.) This minor character isn't mentioned at Pokémon Gold and Silver or List of Pokémon characters, suggesting she's too obscure to be a helpful redirect. I find several real-life DJs named Mary, but none that are known as "DJ Mary". BDD (talk) 19:07, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Seems like one of those things for where someone could be looking for more than one thing. Only other possibility that makes sense to me would disambiguate. Compassionate727 (talk) 19:40, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WP:XY? (Pokémon pun?) This was created as a redirect to Pikachu, but the creator retargeted it several weeks later. Pikachu seems like the more obvious target to me, but since it contains at least two typos or errors for either target, deletion would probably be safe. "Pikamon" has a different history, but it's a similar chimera. --BDD (talk) 18:59, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pokémon and Satanism[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete all. Target article no longer mentions Satan(ism) so it's okay to delete the page history. Deryck C. 09:22, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Holy crap, Pokémon is another one of those pages with a ton of redirect cruft. I've gotta catch 'em all, but this is a good place to start.

This used to be an article until it was kept at VfD and subsequently merged, in March 2005. But Satanism is no longer mentioned at Pokémon and probably never should be. If these are kept, something about Satanism should be added to Pokémon#Morality and religious beliefs. --BDD (talk) 18:27, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

R. Belly[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete all. Deryck C. 09:26, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the hits I got for this term involves a joke: "If R. Kelly got fat, he'd be called R. Belly!" That made me think this should be deleted per WP:RFD#D3 and/or WP:G10. However, R. Kelly himself referred to himself as R. Belly: "I'd gotten out of shape and gained weight. I'd gone from being R. Kelly to R. Belly. I was eating wrong and not getting enough sleep." In any case, it's not mentioned in his article and does seem to be a little bit offensive, even though he himself acknowledges the joke. Also, this doesn't seem to be a plausible misspelling because "k" and "b" aren't close on a usual keyboard. Therefore, I'm proposing deletion. -- Tavix (talk) 18:07, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete seems a bit offensive, I agree. Also, anyone who's familiar with quote would've heard the person's name. Compassionate727 (talk) 19:17, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as offensive. --Lenticel (talk) 02:17, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see this redirect as being helpful. According to Aaliyah#Personal life, she has had more than one relationship (most notably with Damon Dash). Delete per WP:XY? -- Tavix (talk) 17:56, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Delete as misleading/confusing. R. Kelly never had an album titled "World's Greatest." See: R. Kelly discography. (He had a song, The World's Greatest, but it appeared on the soundtrack to Ali (film) and Chocolate Factory). -- Tavix (talk) 17:42, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Delete as vague. The "r" doesn't necessarily refer to R. Kelly or even to an album. It could refer to anything "r" related that's untitled. -- Tavix (talk) 17:29, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cory In The House (episode)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. The general consensus of the discussion is that this redirect is wrong. Deryck C. 09:28, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Article title seems to imply a single episode, redirects to a list of Cory in the House episode. ~GottaGoFast Stepitup 16:41, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak keep - disambiguator implies that the redirect is to an episode which is titled "Cory In The House" presumably of some other show, rather than an episode of Cory in the House. However, there don't seem to be any episodes of other shows titled Cory In The House, so it doesn't seem to be ambiguous, and I'm leaning towards it being harmless; thus keep per WP:CHEAP. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 19:30, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. It's not ambiguous in the sense that there are two topics it could refer to—there are no topics it could refer to. It definitely implies an episode by this title, and that doesn't exist. --BDD (talk) 03:10, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, implies something that doesn't exist. -- Tavix (talk) 23:24, 21 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mainstream Americans[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. Just Chilling (talk) 01:19, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what to do with this loaded term. I would think it's most common in politics as an appeal to flattery—e.g., "mainstream Americans support this policy", so if you don't support it, you're out of touch. In some contexts, this might mean WASPs, but not in most, I'd think. It probably closer resembles the amorphous concept of Middle America, which is so amorphous it's a dab rather than an article. (See also Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2014 May 23#Small-Town America.) Retargeting there might make sense, but it might be easiest to delete. The only other alternative that suggests itself to me is Mainline Protestant, which is also known as "mainstream American Protestant". That makes it a bit of a partial-title match, though. BDD (talk) 13:56, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - political nonsense. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 17:46, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:POV. Seems biased. Compassionate727 (talk) 19:39, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete this is no longer the 19th century, the target is wrong, and has been wrong since the Irish became accepted in the US -- 67.70.32.190 (talk) 04:50, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • List_of_Wikipedia_articles_about_fictional_vehicles has been viewed 44 times in the last 90 days. I'm surprised it was even viewed once. The only history of it is me renaming it to its current name. Dream Focus 07:42, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, it implies something different than what is presented. It's not a "list of Wikipedia articles about x", which would imply that Wikipedia (or more specifically "Wikipedia articles") is the subject. The subject is actually libraries or fictional vehicles. In addition, a list of that sort would eliminate red links from that list, but due to the existence of red links, we can see that it's not the case here. -- Tavix (talk) 15:09, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not a redirect to a disambiguation page. Compassionate727 (talk) 22:44, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment we could possibly disambiguate it. List of Indiana railroads contains a rail company by that name, and IIRC used to point to wiktionary -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 05:18, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Page history of the IIRC redirect shows it's been a poor excuse for a dab page for many years. It was finally decided to redirect it to a section of an article, which leaves this useless "(dab)" redirect lying around, so delete per d2 and d5. – Paine  07:53, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
