The result of the discussion was delete. Being experienced at RfD and MfD, I've seen userspace redirects frequently discussed at the former and never, I believe, at the latter. So I'll say this is the correct "jurisdiction" and delete, given a lack of non-procedural objections after a full listing period. --BDD (talk) 17:20, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Odd use of %s. Perhaps it was once useful, but its use hasnt been documented as far as I can see, pageviews indicates it hasnt had any use in quite a long time, and it is now listed in Category:Redirects to special pages gathering dust. John Vandenberg (chat) 11:30, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment. Sorry JV but nothing to do with us; it is in userspace. Si Trew (talk) 12:55, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
User:SimonTrew, it is in a Wikipedia administration category because it has a characteristic which is not typical of userspace. I have wondered whether this type of page belongs at RfD or MfD. More opinions at Wikipedia talk:MFD#Redirects in userspace would be much appreciated. John Vandenberg (chat) 13:26, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

confusing redirect that gives no indication that it is related to WikiProject Universities The Banner talk 11:26, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, per nom. I take it back: the redirect is unnecessary. But the template itself is unnecessary. Delete the R and let TfD deal with the template. I am sure One Other Editor I Dare Not Name will automatically oppose any opinion I put forth, so I should probably argue the opposite of what I actually want. Si Trew (talk) 13:39, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - There is an active discussion about this issue at WT:SHC#Template_shortcuts. Barring a change to something more suitable, this redirect does no harm now that it has been created. Though consensus may state otherwise at this time, I feel that in most cases, that we do not want a lower case redirect to point to a different location than its upper case counterpart. Additionally, we have redirects such as {{albums}} and {{songs}}. Whoever nominates these should be obligated to correct them manually. --Jax 0677 (talk) 23:07, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Interesting, you have clearly not understood the discussion you are referring to as it is critical about your template-redirects. And secondly, the "active discussion" had its last edit (yours) at 22 April 2014, nearly three weeks ago. The Banner talk 23:22, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

useless redirect to save on capitals The Banner talk 11:23, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Keep per two above. Not going to argue this mass listing again, should have been grouped. Ironic to complain others can't type a cap but the nominator can't be bothered to group listings with the same argument. Si Trew (talk) 13:54, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete {{WPCO}} redirect already exists with proper SHORTCUT capitalization -- 65.94.171.206 (talk) 06:05, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

useless redirect-template to save on capitals The Banner talk 11:07, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete confusing template, and a great example why lowercase shortcuts should be avoided. Lowercase 'Hmm' has a meaning in the English language, and it certainly isnt 'heavy metal'. John Vandenberg (chat) 11:18, 10 May 2014 (UTC)one[reply]
  • Retarget to nasal consonant. I would have thought, having just said "Hmmm" myself, it is more a labial dental fricative, but that is a redlink. It is very associated with the Boston accent. Our articles on linguistics are not very good, or to put it likewise into English, "nonsense". (I expressed it more strongly but I should probably be banned for doing so.) Hum is possible. Si Trew (talk) 13:10, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Commment. I looked up WikiProject:Metal three times and I still couldn't find it, and couldn't find it via a Wikipedia search nor an external search. Now am I just an idiot (yes, but not a total idiot) or is there something in there that is e.g Unicode TURKISH DOTTED DOTLESS I than prevents the search, cos I had real trouble finding it, and it still comes up red. We are not in the business of confusing readers. Si Trew (talk) 13:33, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. Ah, I see the error of my ways. It is not a WikiProject but a template for a WikiProject. Even more confusing. "Let's have a cross-namespace redirect that says it is a WikiProjet but is actually a template, but it isn't a template, it's a redirect, to a project. Now throw six to start. Cut it per nom. Si Trew (talk) 13:59, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete no indication this is a Wikiproject (missing the standardized "WPP"/"WP" prefix) and this is not about Mashan Miao so WP:REDLINK usage usable for content usage should not be preempted by the existence of pipework redirects to noncontent uses -- 65.94.171.206 (talk) 06:08, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That discussion has nothing to do with this issue here. There is no indication that "hmm" means anything, so is an opaque name. But there are real world uses for "hmm". -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:22, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom and 65.94. — Scott talk 09:58, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete since it is too vague/ambiguous to be used as a redirect to one specific template in the "Template:" namespace. Steel1943 (talk) 13:39, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
