The result of the discussion was retarget to Defensive fighting position. NAC. The Whispering Wind (talk) 23:57, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target article and thus of limited to no value. There was also no mention at the target article when the redirect was created. I can't conceive of a reader using this without knowing what a machine gun is. BDD (talk) 23:42, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Defensive fighting position. While it's not directly mentioned in the article, the article says that more complex and durable structures can house a machine gun crew. --Lenticel (talk) 07:38, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Works for me. --BDD (talk) 17:41, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was no consensus. --BDD (talk) 00:16, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No evidence the target has ever been known as "Henry Maidment" Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 00:45, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - article was at this title for over 4 years so deletion likely to break external links eg this one. This name used from time to time, eg [1][2]. We have no page on an another Henry Maidment so not confusing. The Whispering Wind (talk) 20:57, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • It does not make any sense, though, so deletion is the best option. The fact that it was at this title for a while does not justify inclusion. It is confusing, as readers will have no idea why they wound up at this page. There is also an artist that has this name, so people may be looking for him and end up here for no reason. It's not harmless. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 22:02, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hmm, I take the point about the painter. I guess the best solution, if he is notable, which he may be, is creating an article on him with a hattnote. However, taking things as they are for now, since the incorrect name 'Henry_Maidment' is used on occaision then it becomes a plausible search term. Also, avoiding deletion that breaks external links is also a sound keep reason - WP:RFD#KEEP point 4. The Whispering Wind (talk) 23:08, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so a clearer consensus may be reached.

  • Keep. It's an unlikely (perhaps) although plausible search term that may have many links from the vast Internet. – Paine Ellsworth CLIMAX! 18:32, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disney Family Movies[edit]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Disney Channel#Other services. --BDD (talk) 00:18, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unuseful redirect for a VOD service, and Disney Family Movies Asia is unsourced. jcnJohn Chen (Talk-Contib.) RA 09:15, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Timeline of The Walt Disney Company - though obviously the current redirect is a very poor target I think we need to keep a mention of this VOD service somewhere. It's already mentioned, with a couple of sources (and others are available), at Timeline of The Walt Disney Company and that seems fine for the moment. The content is currently in and out of Disney Channel (Asia) so, as a redirected article, outright deletion presents the usual GFDL problems. If the edit dispute going on results in the content being kept at Disney Channel (Asia) then we can retarget there but my suggestion provides useful information and holds the situation for now. This WP:CNR created from a move error has resulted in a rater implausible search term. --BDD (talk) 23:15, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - un-needed and confusing. The Whispering Wind (talk) 00:07, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • G6 Speedy Delete Standard procedure for such move errors. Such redirects can simply be tagged with {{db-g6|rationale= it's a redirect left after a cross-namespace move}}, there's no need to bring them to RFD.
Wikipedia:Mfd#Before nominating a page for deletion states "Pages in the wrong namespace (e.g. an article in Wikipedia namespace), can simply be moved and then tag the redirect for speedy deletion using {{db-g6|rationale= it's a redirect left after a cross-namespace move}}. Notify the author of the original article of the cross-namespace move.)". This is applicable to RFD as well. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 02:01, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 00:16, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect should be deleted as the title has no direct relation to the network whose page it redirects to, and could be interpreted as a POV slam against the network. Tdl1060 (talk) 03:21, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - this seems to be an inadvertently created article that was meant to be a talk page comment. The Whispering Wind (talk) 20:52, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I was looking through the history of this redirect ... and ... well, it basically looks like one "oops" was turned into another "oops". Anyways, I agree to delete per all of the above. Steel1943 (talk) 04:46, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
