April 4[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 4, 2013

Thriller(coaster)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete ~ Amory (utc) 17:47, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect for "Thriller(coaster)" is not needed, as it is not a useful search term. There is a "Thriller" disambiguation page already, and "Thriller (roller coaster)" will be changed soon to point to the correct article. GoneIn60 (talk) 18:34, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. In the redirect's title, there is no space in between the name and the name's disambiguator. Steel1943 (talk) 14:48, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

List of bus routes in Cambridgeshire[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete all. JohnCD (talk) 16:09, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This discussion centralizes all of the discussions recently happening on WP:RFD regarding redirects with a phrase like "List of bus routes in..." in their titles. The first entry was started by User:Charlesdrakew for List of bus routes in Cambridgeshire stating the following:

There was clear consensus at AfD to delete this article with no mention of redirection. Anybody looking for a list of routes will not find one on Wikipedia. Normally fleshing out of redirects to make a full article is "wholly encouraged" but this is absolutely not the case here.

— Charles (talk) 09:28, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

...And then, User:Davey2010 used similiar reasoning to post a RFD request on List of bus routes in Norfolk:

No longer needed as most Bus routes lists have either been redirected or deleted

— Davey2010 Talk 10:22, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

...And then, User:Wilbysuffolk used the same quote by User:Davey2010 to post the rest of the RFDs on this list. So, delete, keep, or do something else entirely? Steel1943 (talk) 02:18, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - Unlikely search term for WP and at worst a misleading hit for people looking for bus timetables off WP. Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 05:07, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - unlikely search term, plus the existence of the redirect encourages the bus spotters to keep fleshing out the route info as is happening at articles such as Buses in Bristol. --Bob Re-born (talk) 05:51, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - It may encourage some editors to recreated List of bus routes in X which have all been deleted recently except London therefore they should be deleted. Wilbysuffolk (Talk to me!) 07:29, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Most Bus routes lists have been deleted & don't want editors recreating them Davey2010 Talk 18:33, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Keep Lienucks. I'm deleting Lies n' Sucks as it does not seem to be used specifically for Linux. ~ Amory (utc) 17:56, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep A quick Google search tells you that this term is pretty common, usually used by critics. So, someone might run across it and wonder what it is. Ego White Tray (talk) 02:27, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: Those are strong words :) I created this redirect in 2007 and don't have a huge amount of insight into my thought process. Note that the term does have a bit of use externally, see google results. LFaraone 00:16, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
