Erica Castro[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. Rcsprinter (natter) @ 11:25, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Seems an unlikely search term for this article Nouniquenames 17:49, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Erica Castro is Julian Castro's wife, and redirecting non- and semi-notable family members to the article about the notable person is quite common as it reduces the likelihood of articles being created for the insufficiently notable. Thryduulf (talk) 21:56, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Redirection of a name to a spouse's article is reasonable. WWGB (talk) 02:26, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - if there are sufficient sources, someone may want to create the article in the future, but until that's shown, no reason to encourage creation. WilyD 06:52, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Misspellings of US States[edit]

Seems an unlikely misspelling, especially given the autocomplete available in the search bar Nouniquenames 17:47, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

nominations merged. Thryduulf (talk) 21:16, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep all. Perfectly plausible misspellings - the internal search bar is only one of many ways that people access Wikipedia articles, almost all of which do not have search suggestions, auto-complete, etc. See also Wikipedia talk:Redirects for discussion#Ridiculous redirects. Thryduulf (talk) 21:16, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep all plausible misspellings, "c" does have a "k" sound in some words.--Lenticel (talk) 01:04, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - plausible misspellings, thus useful for navigation; nothing to motivate deletion. WilyD 06:51, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Plausible, and not everyone has auto-complete on. Nate (chatter) 20:59, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search term for this redirect Nouniquenames 17:28, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - plausible search terms, making them useful for navigation, nothing to motivate deletion. WilyD 06:50, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: I'm assuming those are alternative Romanizations, which I would argue is a solid reason to keep (see also: Gaddaffi vs Gadhafi vs etc). Sceptre (talk) 00:49, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Retarget to The Anointed One, better disambiguation welcome and a later move not excluded . Tikiwont (talk) 13:16, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Could refer to this or a number of other articles, also an unlikely search term Nouniquenames 17:38, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kevin Ali[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete, taking into account the context. Tikiwont (talk) 13:18, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search term for Kevin Ollie, added by a new editor as part of a series of questionable edits. Arxiloxos (talk) 15:07, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • DELETE - --Manway 15:40, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete --Nouniquenames 17:33, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as implausible misspelling. Cursory google search suggests that some other notable people might have a future article in that name. --Lenticel (talk) 01:06, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per Lenticel's rationale above. Mr T(Talk?) (New thread?) 09:02, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I actually thought it was the right spelling. Also, we can always chang it later if some Kevin Ali becomes notable. Heardacheez (talk) 14:00, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
*Please note that Heardacheez has been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet of Cowfers, who created this redirect. --Arxiloxos (talk) 23:29, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Heardacheez, I believe Ali and Ollie are homophones in US English, making this a plausible misspelling. Siuenti (talk) 11:06, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not quite homophones, but they do sound very similar. That said, keep. Ego White Tray (talk) 15:50, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kevin Nurrelish Ollie[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. JohnCD (talk) 20:56, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A new editor changed Kevin Ollie's middle name to "Nurrelish" as part of a series of questionable edits, and then created this redirect. I find no sources of any kind for this name, and the only reliable reference I could find has a different middle name. Arxiloxos (talk) 15:05, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
