Teek[edit]

The result of the discussion was to not keep-as-is but beyond that the situation gets murky. I find a clear consensus that the preferred target for this redirect is teak with {{R from mispelling}}. I also note that all of the people participating in this discussion chose to say that the page history should first be deleted. None, however, offered any reason why the deletion is necessary or even preferred over a simple overwrite. The page had content through 2005. That content was moved to another page in Oct 2005 (the same time this title was turned into a redirect). The target was later merged itself into a larger page and the subject matter from here did not make the cut but merged content remains in the pagehistory.
Absent an explicit justification for deletion, I find that proposal inconsistent with the attribution requirements of GFDL and CC-BY-SA. I am going to exercise administrative discretion and overrule that component of the decision. Closing as retarget with history preserved. Rossami (talk) 22:22, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • There are two possibilities. The first as previously mentioned, is to Delete and redirect to Teek, and the second would be to retarget to Ewoks: The Battle for Endor a made for TV series where that character appeared and is mentioned in the plot section.--174.93.169.157 (talk) 02:53, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • While that might be a possible target, I'd say it's less likely to be the primary thing searchers are looking for than the misspelling. A hatnote at Teak ("Teek" redirects here, for the Star Wars character see Ewoks: The Battle for Endor) would suffice I think. Thryduulf (talk) 16:08, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Question Right now, Gre-Nal and Grenal are both redirects to Gre–Nal. Do you want to move Gre–Nal to one of the other titles? If so, please place {{db-move|your reason for moving the page}} on the title where you want the page to be (type it on Grenal if you want us to move Gre–Nal there) and replace "your reason for moving the page" with the reason why you believe the page should be moved.
