Redirect to a public politician. Not mentioned in the target article, and thus no context at all for the redirect. And the name of the redirect, as is, has vaguely negative possibilities, given that "sauce" is a sometimes nickname for alcohol. Not quite enough for me to G10 CSD it, but as it is, it does not look to me to be a productive redirect. TexasAndroid (talk) 19:24, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • A 2 minute investigation and it's clear this is not a G10 issue at all. It would appear to stem from Rudd's 2009 use of the Australian slang phrase "Fair Shake of the Sauce Bottle, Mate" three times in a single interview (although how common this phrase is or was seems to be debatable). This caused much press comment, e.g. [1], [2], [3]. It doesn't seem to get much mention these days, but [4] from a few days ago mentions it in passing. The redirect was created at the time of the discussion in June 2009 and had sat their quietly getting a trickle of hits (mostly around 16/month in the past year) until a single anon decided to blank the page (and then edit war to keep it blank) yesterday and today. As far as I can tell, Rudd's article did not mention it at the time (but it was contemporaneous with an editing dispute about mentioning family members or not so I may have missed something). I think this should redirect somewhere, but as we don't have an article on sauce bottles specifically and bottles of sauces come in many different materials I think the best thing would be to retarget to bottle. Lexico programming language[edit]

The result of the discussion was retarget. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 04:06, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The current target is completely unrelated to computer programming. Cybercobra (talk) 17:11, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • The current target is indeed unrelated to programming languages. Wikipedia did previously have an article on the programming language at Lexico and this title was an obvious redirect to it. The article was deleted in 2009 following Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lexico where no reliable sources were found. The Lexico title was subsequently redirected to Reference.com (the owners of the Lexico publishing group and the Lexico.com domain). The Lexico programming language remained redirected to Lexico and was updated to it's current target by bots fixing double redirects. Lexico it seems is a Spanish-based programming language used for teaching .NET, so it doesn't surprise me that there are limited reliable sources on it in English - I can't read Spanish, but if there are reliable sources on the subject I wouldn't be surprised if most were in that language. In the absence of an article about the language (I don't know whether it is notable enough for one or not), I suggest a retarget to Non-English-based programming languages#Based on non-English languages, which has a sentence on the language that should be easily verifiable. The result of the discussion was nothing to do here. The redirect has been turned into an article by the nominator. Thryduulf (talk) 20:20, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article cannot be made because it is redirected to the article about series. Viviantme (talk) 07:29, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes it can. Just edit the page and overwrite the redirect with the new content, the page is not protected. Thryduulf (talk) 08:43, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
