Obscure, malformed dab —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 23:46, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. I see where this is coming from, but as a search term that is supposed to be actually used, it's useless - and for linking it's worse than useless. Gavia immer (talk) 00:38, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - extremely unlikely search term. Soon this may be moot as the band's article is up at AfD. B.Wind (talk) 05:52, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was re-target to Wikipedia:WikiProject Iowa. — Scientizzle 19:16, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why does WP:IA link to WP:Article development? I propose WP:IA leads to WP:Iowa, thoughts? CTJF83 chat 04:20, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to WP:WikiProject Iowa and place the shortcut in the box atop the target page. IA is the United States Postal Service abbreviation for Iowa. B.Wind (talk) 05:53, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support retargetting, but preparation needed. The redirect was created in 2004 as a logical shortcut to Wikipedia:Guide to improving articles, which was merged with Wikipedia:Article development in 2006. I'd say that more than enough time has passed since then that we don't need to retain the original redirect. However, looking at the incomming links, it seems that it was used in at least one standard user welcome template (at least one was given in 2008, others possibly later), so I would recommend getting a bot to replace all existing links to WP:IA to point to Wikipedia:Article development before retargetting and/or add a hatnote to the top of Wikipedia:WikiProject Iowa along the lines of . If this is retargetted, don't forget to update pages like WP:WP and Wikipedia:Alphabet soup. Thryduulf (talk) 10:19, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so consensus may be reached.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Cunard (talk) 02:17, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support retargeting to Wikipedia:WikiProject Iowa, provided it's handled as Thryduulf says above. This has low value as a link to its present target, so a more useful target is reasonable. Gavia immer (talk) 00:35, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Keep. — Scientizzle 19:08, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 02:10, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. While I could see the usefulness in this if most or all of her other albums required this disambiguator, looking at the links on Yolanda Adams discography however only about half of them do, which wouldn't normally be enough for me to see the value in this title. However, as the article was at that title from 2008 until 18 seconds before it was nominated for deletion, I think we should keep the title around for at least a while yet to avoid breaking bookmarks and inbound links from external sites. Thryduulf (talk) 07:48, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep; if only because it has been moved extremely recently. I don't particularly approve of the practice of RfDing straight after page moves, no matter how implausible the title is - while there may be no incoming links on Wikipedia, there may well be external ones. We should give it a reasonable period to settle down, at least. ~ mazca talk 18:58, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
