March 30[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on March 30, 2009

The DaggerKobe Bryant[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:20, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think this redirect is dubious. The creator claimed that this was Bryant's nickname, but there are little evidences to support that claim. A google search returned 13,000 hits, but most are blogs and appear to be about three point shots.—Chris! ct 22:57, 30 March 2009 (UTC) —Chris! ct 22:57, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AggrotechElectro-industrial#Aggrotech[edit]

The result of the discussion was Re-targeted to Electro-industrial#Aggrotech. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:22, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Aggrotech is now covered substantially at Electro-industrial#Aggrotech, rather than at List_of_post-industrial_music_genres_and_related_fusion_genres#Aggrotech. The redirect should point there. Deflective (talk) 22:24, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Afghanistan timeline July–December 2001 (disambiguation)2001 in Afghanistan[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:23, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently there was a disambiguation for the Afghanistan timeline, but I'm not seeing it anywhere. In that case, this was left over from a move and SmackBot accidentally created this page. It isn't needed anymore and is an implausible redirect. Tavix (talk) 21:41, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jack Frost (comics) (disambiguation)Jack Frost (comics)[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:23, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - implausible, bot-created page with no useful edit history. See discussion of the similar Hangman (comics) (disambiguation) further down the page. Otto4711 (talk) 20:27, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete with the same rationale: "implausible bot-created redirect with no useful incoming links and no edit history worth preserving". –Black Falcon (Talk) 20:59, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Heh, yeah, I kinda swiped your wording. Otto4711 (talk) 21:00, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
      • That didn't even register with me. I read your nomination, checked the redirect's history and whatlinkshere, agreed with deletion, and then..... forgot about the wording. I think I need more coffee... : ) –Black Falcon (Talk) 21:32, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I agree with the others. Tempo di Valse ♪ 02:28, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. These doubly-disambiguated redirects are of no use. Gavia immer (talk) 13:31, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete as of no use. PaulJones (talk) 18:51, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:SOAPYWikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:24, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Created as a joke, but is not a particularly good shortcut per se considering the existence of others like WP:SI, WP:SPI and WP:SSP. No useful incoming links and does not seem to be used much (views: 2009-01, 2009-02, 2009-03). While it could potentially be retargeted to Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#SOAPBOX, that seems unnecessary given the existence of the already-established and shorter shortcut WP:SOAP. Anabel BarnstonComing of Age (2008 TV series)[edit]

Inappropriate redirect Little Professor (talk) 18:33, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note: This former article was deleted and redirected per this AFD; however, prior to the deletion, content from the article was copied to Coming of Age (2008 TV series) in this edit (see the version of Anabel Barnston at the time). However, since the content in question was added to the article Anabel Barnston by the same user (User:CactusWriter) who later added it to Coming of Age (2008 TV series), I do not think deletion would present any problems with the GFDL, which requires that the contribution history be preserved in cases of merging (it is in this case, since CactusWriter's contribution is attributed in the page history of Coming of Age (2008 TV series)). –Black Falcon (Talk) 19:28, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per my comment above and per this. Barnston has acted in several television series and there is no reason that her name should redirect to any one particular series. –Black Falcon (Talk) 19:29, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ROFL CopterLOL[edit]

The result of the discussion was Kept as no consensus for deletion & causes no harm. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:27, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Extremely unneeded, not currently linked from anywhere except two talk pages SarekOfVulcan (talk) 16:10, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete doesn't seem to be any connection between the two terms, unlikely search term. Tempo di Valse ♪ 16:51, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • For context, see page history and talk pages of Rofl copter and Roflcopter (AFD). For what it's worth, I have no objection to deleting. –Black Falcon (Talk) 19:07, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to ROFL, which is redirected to LOL, so keep. –xeno (talk) 20:10, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep this is a reference to a widely used forum signature, showing clips from the movie Apocalypse now, except all helicopters have been replaced with paper models with the word "ROFL" written on each of the propellors. Widely used.--Pattont/c 19:50, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NCIS: OCPNCIS: Legend[edit]

The result of the discussion was speedy delete per original CSD request.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 16:15, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - Implausible search term. Created as an accident by an editor who actually wanted to create NCIS: OSP. NCIS: Legend is a project name for the new spinoff from NCIS but the new series may actually be titled "NCIS: Office of Special Projects", "NCIS: OSP", "NCIS: Undercover" or something completely different. (Nobody really seems to know!) NCIS:OCP is not one of the possible names and it's an implausible typo. AussieLegend (talk) 07:03, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hangman (comics) (disambiguation)Hangman (comics)[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:27, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible redirect, people looking for the article will either type in (comics) or (disambiguation) separately, but not both. Tavix (talk) 01:54, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WAY too specific of a disambiguator, implausible search term. Tavix (talk) 01:38, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
