July 11[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on July 11, 2009
Fashion (Heidi Montag song)[edit]
This redirect should be deleted so that the latter article can be moved here. Montag was the original performer of the song, so the article should be located where the redirect currently is. Pokerdance (talk/contribs) 21:31, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

No reliable sources found to verify notability. Redirect is inappropriate because subject in non-notable. — X S G 01:12, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- The character is question is mentioned in the article I see no reason to delete this. If you think the character is question is not notable it would best to sugest that one the talk page and get consensus there. Deleting the redirect first is not the best course of action.--76.69.165.27 (talk) 03:07, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- keep - There is no requirement that a character be notable to get a redirect and the existence of a redirect discourages the recreation of non-notable articles. --ThaddeusB (talk) 01:45, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- You keep saying this, but Wikipedia's own redirect policy page (WP:RCAT), which lists possible reasons for a redirect, does not list anythingf like redirecting a non-notable subject to a notable subject as a reason for a redirect. The only thing remotely similar is related to subjects that are notable only for a single event, which points to WP:BLP1E for establishing notability prior to redirecting. — X S G 04:28, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Blah. You're right. I've reviewed the "Too short for own article" entry, which indicates that redirects for non-notables is acceptable. Damnit. — X S G 04:28, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Maureen O'Gara[edit]
Redirect from the name of a journalist (a living person) to a nonexistent section of an article on a website that has been widely critical of her. The current article does mention O'Gara, but only minmally, and only in the context of her dispute with Groklaw. If we're not going to have an article on O'Gara, then redirecting to a website that disagrees with her is the wrong thing to do, since the result might not meet our NPOV policy. Note: the redirect is categorized as a possible cut-and-paste move, but it doesn't appear that any material from the former article is used in the current target. — Gavia immer (talk) 19:59, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
