April 6[edit]
This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 6, 2009
Wikipedia:Request for immediate removal of copyright violation → Wikipedia:Contact us/Article problem/Copyright[edit]
This page (although "protected"!!) was redirected (illegally?!) to a page "Contact us/Article problem/Copyright", apparently in an attempt to make the copyright appeals process unavailable to Wikipedia editors by making the page for filing such appeals inaccessible. Because the "source" page http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Request_for_immediate_removal_of_copyright_violation&action=edit is "protected", we have been unable to put the pertinent code on it; we therefore request administrative assistance in this matter, including alerting the Copyright Appeals office of Wikipedia as concerning this tampering with their official page in Wikipedia.0XQ (talk) 13:38, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Erm, not true. It was redirected for the good reasons explained at Wikipedia talk:Request for immediate removal of copyright violation#Boldly redirecting. It and the target are permanently protected for the reasons given here. Indeed, the protection, far from being tampering itself, is there to stop any tampering with the page that would confuse people as to the correct process.
Please explain what your actual problem is, and what you are attempting to achieve. If you have a concern with the copyright discussion at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2009 April 4, nominating a completely unrelated redirect for deletion isn't the answer. Uncle G (talk) 16:09, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Risto Tammi → Finnish Anti-Fascist Committee[edit]
Not directly involved with each other Skysmith (talk) 09:32, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Redirecting both to Finnish Islamic Party. (New article, please improve.) -- Petri Krohn (talk) 11:18, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Zor, 1997 → Zor (film)[edit]
User:Anshuk nominated this redirect for deletion an hour ago, but apparently forgot to list it here. I don't know his reason, probably just because it is an improbable typo or something similar, but that's just my interpretation. I created the redirect by moving a newly created page to a better title (per our naming conventions). I have no objections to this redirect being deleted. Fram (talk) 08:50, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks User: Fram. I am not sure what happened to TW. The reason to nominate this redirect for deletion is that movies generally don't have a redirect page which includes their year in which they were released.--Anshuk (talk) 02:18, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
South Centre → South Centre Township, Pennsylvania[edit]
Deletion of redirect because South Centre is an active intergovernmental organisation based in Geneva. The redirect for the south centre township, pennsylvania conflicts with the South Centre and it is thus not possible to create a page for the South Centre. Hbhamra (talk) 08:31, 6 April 2009 (UTC) Nominating South Centre
- Comment why, pray tell, does this redirect prevent you from being WP:BOLD and writing an article for the organization - assuming that the organization is notable? If it isn't, your edits will likely be reverted to the redirect anyway. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 23:14, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Get a wikipedia username → Wikipedia:Username policy[edit]
Cross-namespace redirect, unlikely search term. NanohaA'sYuriTalk, My master 00:28, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. Crossname redirect, unlikely search item and it's not easier to type this than the original one. Crossname redirects should be avoided. -- Magioladitis (talk) 22:09, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete Cross-namespace redirects shouldn't be used if possible, plus, this isn't a very plausible search term. tempodivalse [☎] 00:16, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Passengers of Alaska Airlines Flight 261[edit]
Delete as non-notable passengers "known" exclusively for flying on Alaska Airlines Flight 261. They are implausible search terms and anyone searching for one of these people are either searching for someone else, or finding a dead end as their lives aren't discussed in the main article. Tavix | Talk 00:24, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as per nom - none are notable enough to appear in main article. MilborneOne (talk) 12:49, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete' per nom. - Trevor MacInnis (Contribs) 03:30, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete - per nom. Garion96 (talk) 20:57, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete Agree with nom. tempodivalse [☎] 00:16, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Bullies are not welcome on Wikipedia → Wikipedia:Harassment[edit]
Unlikely redirect when searching for the "Harassment policy", no pages link here. NanohaA'sYuriTalk, My master 00:19, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. I think this is WP:POINT. -- Magioladitis (talk) 22:10, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as an implausible search term. tempodivalse [☎] 00:16, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. --JaGatalk 21:27, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
