All Things Considered(song) → Yankee Grey[edit]
Normally, I'm all for redirects from songs to artists if the songs aren't very notable. However, this redirect is two kinds of fail because 1.) there's a space missing, and 2.) is anyone really going to type the "(song)" at the end? Seems fairly unlikely to me. - Delete as implausible and put a hatnote at the top of All Things Considered using {{For}}. Pie is good (Apple is the best) 20:00, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Delete - malformed title. On the other hand, All Things Considered (song) would be a likely search term in the context of the NPR program All Things Considered. The Yankee Grey recording did reach the Top 10 of a national record chart (Billboard Hot Country Songs) in 1999. 147.70.242.40 (talk) 20:14, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Comment – Either delete, or delete and create a new one with a space between "All things considered" and "(song)." Bwrs (talk) 23:22, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Delete and Comment I recreated the article on the Yankee Grey song, which is notable as a Top 10 music country song. However, a redirect with a space missing isn't necessary. Eric444 (talk) 23:31, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Template:R from alternative punctuation → Template:R from alternative spelling[edit]
Should they be categorized separately? Bwrs (talk) 06:37, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Keep and close - no valid reason for deletion mentioned upon nomination. 147.70.242.40 (talk) 19:22, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Keep and yes, IMO, they should be categorized seperately as they are two different subjects, different punctuation and spelling. Pie is good (Apple is the best) 23:38, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Comment: I may be mistaken, but I believe this nomination is really a suggestion that the redirect be converted to its own template. As it stands, anything tagged with {{R from alternative punctuation}} will be added to Category:Redirects from alternative spellings. That does seem odd. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:13, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- If that's the case, it would seem to me that reverting the redirect to an earlier version and creating Category:Redirects from alternative punctuation might be the best move here. On the other hand, the "target template" seems to be deprecated, according to its talk page. Curiouser and curiouser... 147.70.242.40 (talk) 22:44, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm torn. I don't really see a need to categorize by alternative punctuation, but placing them in alternative spellings seems wrong. Oh well, I don't feel strongly about it so any of the three solutions (maintain the status quo, make it's own template, or delete) is fine by me. Unless there is new input, I doubt it will end up deleted, but I'll remind the closing admin that the template will need to be removed from the transcluding articles if deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 12:28, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

These are soft redirects to Narutopedia, a Naruto wiki, a non Wikimedia project. There are many, many of these (a list is here), I'm nominating twenty to not overwhelm RfD. Delete per Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2008 July 11#Akimichi clan, Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2008 July 31. --Phirazo (talk) 03:06, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Delete Eight months is long enough, and none of them have any real history other than being redirects. -- Ned Scott 04:31, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Delete all, I thought soft redirects were only supposed to be used to refer over to other Wikimedia projects. Stifle (talk) 12:26, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Delete all as all do not redirect to Wikimedia projects. Pie is good (Apple is the best) 19:14, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Nuke them all - none of the targets have anything to do with Wikipedia itself or its "sisters". 147.70.242.40 (talk) 19:26, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
