The result of the debate was Kept. -- JLaTondre (talk) 13:20, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Somewhat redundant, as we already have WP:IFY, no? 21655 ταλκ/01ҁ 19:31, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - It's not redundant. And I find it useful and use it all he time. -- Whpq (talk) 23:36, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep redirects are cheap.--Lenticel (talk) 00:22, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Category page displays this as one of three short cuts, thus a useful redirect.B.Wind (talk) 02:35, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - I use this all the time - having more than one shortcut is a good thing. Gil Gamesh (talk) 11:05, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - why not? And its usefulnees is established.--Esprit15d • talkcontribs 13:54, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - useful shortcut. What's wrong with it? Is this a serious nomination? andy (talk) 21:39, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Seems fine to me - redirects are cheap. Midorihana~いいですね? はい! 07:44, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - No need to remove, and I vaguely remember using this redirect once before. - Mastrchf (t/c) 21:21, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the debate was Deleted. Page move history still documented at target. -- JLaTondre (talk) 13:22, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search term, no useful incoming links — Carl (CBM · talk) 18:03, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete most highly unlikely search term (much more likely to omit "in", resulting in connecting with target article). B.Wind (talk) 02:37, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I agree with the above, in that it is an unlikely search term. Midorihana~いいですね? はい! 06:45, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, per above.--Esprit15d • talkcontribs 13:54, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep because it documents a pagemove executed in 2006. Please remember that:
    1. The WikiMedia software creates those redirects by default for a reason. They aid future readers and point the old editors to the title where their contributions belong.
    2. At least one person has already made this mistake (otherwise the page wouldn't have been created at the old title in the first place). The redirect reduces the probability that others will make the same mistake.
    3. Redirects are supposed to be orphans when everything is working right. Not having any inbound links is not a reason for deletion.
    4. Redirects do far more than merely support the search engine. "Unlikely search term" can be a reason for deleting a page initially created as a redirect but is not supposed to apply to redirects created as a result of a pagemove.
    Rossami (talk) 22:02, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Redirects created after a move typically are not orphans - usually the links that already exist are not changed. The chance of someone making this particular mistake again are, I think, exceedingly low. As B. Wind says, people are not likely to include the word in when looking here, as that violates all of our naming conventions. This was just a fluke, and can safely be cleaned up. — Carl (CBM · talk) 22:31, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per Carl's reply to Rossami - i.e. as an unlikely typo. Olaf Davis | Talk 09:58, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
