Redirect is a good faith attempt to fix red links created by a series of edits to Japanese battleship Asahi where piped date links of the format [[1897-08-01|01 Aug 1897]] were inserted. I've cleaned up the date-formatting, so, I think this (and many other redirects at [1]) can be deleted. This discussion is a test-case, and unless there is some other reason to keep these types of redirects around, the others will be brought here in due course. Neier (talk) 11:27, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

• Redirects by User:Toddy1 appears to be a mistaken good faith attempt to force a certain dating format which he prefers. This is in violation of WP:MOSDATE, and is perhaps due to misunderstanding on how the date formatting code works in Wikipedia. --MChew (talk) 16:32, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
