July 26[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on July 26, 2008

EuroecoEuropean Environment Agency[edit]

The result of the debate was Deleted except for Euro just & Euro med (which has be re-targeted). Those two are reasonable search terms as they match the target except for the addition of the space. -- JLaTondre (talk) 04:27, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No evidence that "Euroeco" is used as a common abbreviation to refer to the "European Environment Agency". Google search on ""European Environment Agency" "Euroeco"" does not return anything convincing. Edcolins (talk) 09:04, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See also Euro eco, Europlant, Euro just, Euro med, Euro plant, Euro lang, Euro food, Euro mar, Euro air, Euro satnav, Euro rail, Euro train, Euro front, Euro fish, Euro chem, Euro sex, Euro sat‎ and more redirects created yesterday by User:Jkliajmi, see Special:Contributions/Jkliajmi. They should probably be reviewed as well. I am not going to list them one by one here. --Edcolins (talk) 09:14, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Euroeco returns many hits about a particular brand of faucet but I'm not finding anything relevant to the current target page. Euro Eco (not the space) returns a reference to a UK-based energy company. Europlant returns references to a couple of different companies. Euro just points to an existing article without the space in the title and appears legitimate. Euro food points back to itself. Given this user's documented history and current blocked status, I reluctantly recommend that we delete all of them but allow recreation if a legitimate connection (either to the current target or to a better target page) can be independently established and documented. Security-As-A-ServiceSecurity as a service[edit]

The result of the debate was Deleted. No useful history in the redirect. Kylu (talk) 05:07, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

superfluous; varies only in case samj (talk) 09:53, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. It's not clear to me what's being nominated here — the listed redirect has never existed, and the RfD tag is on Security As A Service, which is a redirect to Security-as-a-service, which is itself a redirect to Security as a service. Meanwhile, all of those look fine to me, including the one above that doesn't exist but should. Gavia immer (talk) 13:25, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, probably should create the redirect that's nominated and doesn't exist (irony?). And I fixed the double redirect mentioned above. --UsaSatsui (talk) 19:00, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Uh, how about a new term:Speedy create THEN delete it if someone argues. TALKIN PIE EATER REVIEW ME 23:07, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Evolutionary tree/SarcoptergiiSarcopterygii[edit]

The result of the debate was Delete. Lenticel (talk) 03:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect is useless. Liopleurodon93 (talk) 21:29, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Outdated, nobody will be looking for it in userspace after 5 years.--UsaSatsui (talk) 22:21, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Not in userspace? Oh yeah. Oops. Well, I'm not seeing any value in the history here at all, there's no links to it, it's highly unlikely someone will type it in, and five years is plenty of time to fix any possible outside links to it. Still Delete (but for a different reason). --UsaSatsui (talk) 19:00, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. It's not in the userspace, it's in the main article space. Like the old CamelCase redirects, this is a holdover from when the project first began and we still thought that subpages might be a useful way to organize articles. Even though we no longer organize pages this way, there is value in the history - and no advantage to deletion. Rossami (talk) 14:14, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. With only this in the history, I can't see how the page is valuable. Cunard (talk) 04:36, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - even as a historical artefact, this redirect isn't particularly useful. It's enough to know that subpages used to exist; we don't need to keep every single one of them. Terraxos (talk) 01:40, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
