January 27[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion on January 27, 2008

File HostsFile hosting service[edit]

The result of the debate was Kept. -- JLaTondre 03:21, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Now that the AfD was closed by making it a redirect, let's just delete it. There's no need for an orphaned redirect with wrong capitalization. Nobody uses it, nobody should it, and nobody wants it. Why didn't we just delete it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dicklyon (talkcontribs) 06:34, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep first because the AFD recommended it but second and more importantly because content appears to have been merged from this page to the target page. Retention of the attribution history of content is a requirement of GFDL. Rossami (talk) 20:25, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep plausible search term. When people search "file hosts", this redirect comes into play. –Pomte 05:40, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aryan KhanShahrukh Khan[edit]

The result of the debate was Kept. Notability requirements don't apply to redirects. Person is mentioned at target so redirect is applicable. -- JLaTondre 03:26, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aryan Khan is the son of Shahrukh Khan.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anshuk (talkcontribs) 19:55, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes, Aryan is the son of Shahrukh Khan, and not notable by himself yet. The article had limited content (a few sentences only), all of which can easily be accommodated in the main article. --Ragib (talk) 20:01, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • There is only sentence in Shahrukh Khan article which says that he is his son. There is no other content whatsoever. Aryan Khan fails notability. Being a son of a star is not notable.. Anshuk (talk) 20:07, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as redirect. Content, however small, was merged into the target page. The redirect will also prevent the further forking or recreation of an article about this non-notable person. Redirects to a notable family-member are routine. Rossami (talk) 20:27, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • I don't see any content for Aryan Khan in Shahrukh Khan's page. Please point me to a policy which says that family members of a notable persons can be added to wikipedia as redirects. Non-notable person should be speedy deleted and not redirected.. Anshuk (talk) 21:29, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • I cannot see any sense for keeping a separate page of aryan according to the wikipedia policy. Keeping his separate page will be in violation of the wikipedia policy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.29.228.218 (talk) 17:00, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
