January 19[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion on January 19, 2008

DownpourWonder Twins[edit]

The result of the debate was Re-targeted to rain. -- JLaTondre 15:41, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This should be redirected to Rain as its the most likely subject to be sought by users searching "Downpour" 69.182.199.231 (talk) 23:57, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy close since I redirect it already to "rain". --Howard the Duck 14:46, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The theory of "Jesus"Jesus[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. VegaDark (talk) 17:44, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Was created as a bad faith redirect solely to make a point. Edit summary says ...an article that would not have had to be created if theory of Evolution was just a dead link). No incoming links and appears to be a WP:POINT violation. EJF (talk) 20:32, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note - requests appears odd, because there are quotation marks in the title, which the software has recognised as italics. EJF (talk) 20:36, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Fixed link. –Pomte 23:32, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Perhaps I was a little hasty. There is an article Jesus myth hypothesis, should it perhaps redirect here? EJF (talk) 20:49, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Delete nothing more than a POINT creation by somebody who doesn't understand the definition of theory as it applies to science. Highly unlikely search term with the quote marks. If it didn't have the quotes, I'd say retarget to the Jesus myth hypothesis, but as it, just trash it. - Koweja (talk) 01:04, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. WP:POINT violation that crosses the line into vandalism (though probably not quite enough so to speedy-delete). Rossami (talk) 23:59, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Really annoying. -- Magioladitis (talk) 01:10, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AughtsFin de siècle[edit]

The result of the debate was no consensus to delete Aughts, delete the rest. WjBscribe 14:19, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Almost makes sense to turn of the century (although that was created by a (now) banned user), but when that was merged into the French term with a slightly different meaning, the redirect does not make sense any more. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 19:17, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also:

Unused implausible redirects, created by (now) banned user. Arthur Rubin | (talk) 19:17, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Strikeout comments. Created by User:Voortle, who was never banned, as far as I can tell. Still implausible and unused, though. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 20:08, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Decade to Millennia links[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. WjBscribe 14:14, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Random links from unused decade to the appropriate (except for the last) millennium. They've been there a while, but created by a notorious redirect spammer, and probably never used. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 18:59, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete all. WP:CRYSTAL at its worst. Rossami (talk) 00:00, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete because they should refer to the decades. CRYSTAL doesn't apply here; time redirects are timeless. –Pomte 15:57, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete even though the 9010's will be a big-time problem decade. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 23:14, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
