February 26[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion on February 26, 2008

WikipornAmateur pornography[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. John Reaves 08:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another in a serious of disruptive redirects by sockpuppet User:Citybest. Enigma msg! 22:09, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think this is distasteful? These subjects are referenced in Amateur pornography and creating this and other redirects was an attempt to prevent creation of articles on what would be a non-notable subject by itself. Citybest (talk) 14:12, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Not in article, no apparent reason for redirect. Enigma msg! 18:07, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - no valid redirect target. Laudak (talk) 06:00, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Piece of shitShit[edit]

The result of the debate was keep. John Reaves 08:34, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Target for vandalism; has been pointed at or re-edited as Howard Stern, Michael Moore, and George Bush. I'd like to suggest that it be pointed to shit and protected from further editing by an admin. Currently it points to feces, but "piece of shit" doesn't mean the bowel movement; it's a curse. Father Goose (talk) 21:08, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was the editor that discovered this pointing at Dubya, and moved it to Feces and then I moved on. I have no problem with it going to shit instead. Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 21:21, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. I've semi-protected it, which should be enough since almost every vandal edit but one was done by an un-logged-in IP. Certainly it is a useful redirect to exist. (If anybody decides to fully protect it instead, then be sure to straighten out the target first.) —Toby Bartels (talk) 02:00, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'd still like to urge full protection; the most recent vandalism was by a registered user pointing it to George Bush. I wanted to initiate a conversation over whether it should point to "feces" or "shit" before it got protected though. And it can always be unprotected if someone can actually come up with a reason to change it.
I have to go wash out my mouth with soap now.--Father Goose (talk) 02:27, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. Valid search term; shit is a much better target as "piece of shit" is discussed there. –Pomte 18:03, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

China at the 23rd Chess OlympiadChina at the Chess Olympiads[edit]

The result of the debate was no consensus. John Reaves 08:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Delete unnecessary redirect. Extrememly unlikely that anybody would look far an article with this exact title. Previously deleted as an unencyclopedic article by AfD and CSD R3 as a redirect Mayalld (talk) 16:47, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Keep, it's not up to what you think is likely or unlikely as it is impossible for you to know how many people on the internet would search for it. Under wikipedia policy at WP:Redirect this is a legitimate redirect. Also I quote User:Nyttend: "This is effectively a redirect for someone who might expect a report of an individual event, rather than the actual page about China's showing at all events combined", which is what I intended in the first place. Nevada State Route 805USA Parkway[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. John Reaves 08:37, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

USA Parkway is completely privately financed. It does not have a state route designation of any kind according to [1] Imzadi1979 (talk) 06:05, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the official Nevada State Route handbook is here: [2]. Nowhere is a route 805 mentioned. State Route 805 (Nevada) and SR 805 (NV) should be part of this debate also. Davemeistermoab (talk) 06:38, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. If this highway is commonly known —even incorrectly— as "Nevada State Route 805", then it should be kept (and this error should also be mentioned in the target article). But if this was a mistake only by the original poster (apparently N Yo FACE, I'll ask), then it can be deleted. —Toby Bartels (talk) 02:15, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Unless some evidence can be provided that USA Parkway is also known by that name. Enigma msg! 18:09, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
