Precision CameraPrecision Camera and Video Repair, Inc.[edit]

The result of the discussion was Deleted. The phrase is not limited to the company. This is better left to the search engine. -- JLaTondre (talk) 03:31, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect should be deleted for a couple of reasons: (1) it was created as one of a series of spammy redirects to Precision Camera and Video Repair (the other spammy redirects have been deleted and the account blocked for spamming); (2) a user searching for the general term Precision camera should not be redirected to this company's article. ukexpat (talk) 15:09, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. The target article exists & this is a plausible redirect to the article. Unless your point 2 is suggesting it should be made into a disambiguation page instead? --Philosopher Let us reason together. 16:54, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comment, no my point is that if someone is looking for articles mentioning "precision camera" they should not be redirected to this company's article, especially in view of the spamming history of the person who created it. With the redirect in place, you have to search for "precision camera" as a phrase to see other potentially relevant articles. – ukexpat (talk) 18:49, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Precision camera ("camera" isn't capitalized) has already been deleted. If someone capitalizes the Camera, then they're probably looking for a business. And that's what they'll find. flaminglawyerc 23:54, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comment, actually if someone enters "Precision camera" or even "precision camera" they will still end up being redirected to Precision Camera and Video Repair due to the (rightfully) forgiving nature of MediaWiki's search engine. Nancy talk 09:38, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Closing sequence isn't mentioned in target. Unlikely search term. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 03:15, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete It's orphaned... flaminglawyerc 00:00, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete- As TPH says, the subject of the redirect isn't even mentioned at the target. Although this was once an article, none of its contents appear to have been merged so there's no GDFL issues to consider. Nor is the title a plausible search term. I have no idea why this is here.
