James Beattie (crap footballer) → James Beattie (footballer)[edit]
Article was moved to the redirect by Transfer as a form of vandalism Kingjamie 15:52, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of football (soccer) related deletions. Kingjamie 15:56, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy delete per criterion G10 (attack page). I have tagged it as such. — Gavia immer (talk) 17:20, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Gaetano → Saint Cajetan[edit]
Several other Gaetanos of note, including Gaetano Donizetti and Gaetano Mosca; the redirect could be replaced with a disambig page. Shouriki 00:49, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The above is preserved as the archive of an RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.Rebate (disambig) → Market dominance[edit]
This is a misnamed DAB page, with a redirect to a page with it seems to have no connection! Nominated for deletion because most (if not all) people will go to the correct DAB page name. 202.63.40.179 04:39, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Firstly, the correct title should be "Rebate (disambiguation)". Second, this disambig page already exists at Rebate. there is therefore no reason to keep this redirect, although I must note certain things; your said most people would go to the right page, but that means not all!!! This redirect is therefore useful. Also what is the correct DAB page name??? Taking all these things into account, I propose that we delete this page and add a link at Rebate to the right DAB page name -- ChrisDHDR • @ 17:43, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Weak keep and retargetto Rebate, which is where Rebate (disambiguation) points. Failing that, I'd suggest deletion. BigNate37(T) 17:47, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]- Delete: I see absolutely no benefit in the non-standard "(disambig)", and we have both Rebate and Rebate (disambiguation), so I see this as little more than an incitement to create other similarly misnamed pages. We've deleted several other "(disambig)" redirs recently for similar reasons, This is a relic left over from before we standardized disambiguation pages, and no longer offers any benefits whatsoever. The history is all at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Market_challenger&redirect=no, so there's no GDFL issues to worry about either. Xtifr tälk 12:25, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Sims Technology → List of The Sims games[edit]
"List of The Sims games" was moved by User:EastHighWildcats101 (here) to "The Sims Technology" without a reason. I undid the move, as "The Sims Technology" does not describe that the article is simply a list of The Sims-related games. "The Sims Technology" phrase is not truly used in real life. --theSpectator talk 23:46, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I would say speedy as CSD G3 (...redirects created during cleanup of page move vandalism), but one can hardly call this vandalism taking it in isolation. I don't see it being controversial though, and I think G6 (housekeeping) and R3 (implausible, recently created redirects) would apply here. This isn't a likely search term at all, and there aren't any incoming links now that I've reverted ([1], [2], [3], [4]) Seedbot's "fixes" for what were temporarily double redirects through List of The Sims games.
